Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long receives Japanese partners

(Chinhphu.vn) - Within the framework of his visit to Japan, attending the Vietnam National Day at EXPO 2025, Osaka, Kansai, on September 8, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long received Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians' Union of Osaka Prefecture Wada Kenji, Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association of Kansai Region Nishimura Teichi, and Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association of Sakai City Kato Hitoshi.

At the meetings, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long expressed his delight at the positive development of the Vietnam-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the cooperation and friendship between the Kansai region; affirmed that the relationship between the two countries is strengthened by high political trust and is at its best stage ever, demonstrated through close ties and cooperation in many fields such as economy, trade, people-to-people exchange, etc.

Japanese partners congratulated Vietnam on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, highly appreciated the achievements Vietnam has made in the cause of national construction and development over the past 80 years; expressed their willingness to cooperate closely with Vietnam to promote bilateral cooperation in all fields commensurate with the current good relationship between the two countries.

The Deputy Prime Minister asked members of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance of Osaka Prefecture to continue promoting delegation exchanges, economic , cultural, tourism and people-to-people cooperation between Osaka Prefecture and Vietnam; and to continue caring for and supporting the Vietnamese community living, studying and working in Osaka Prefecture.

The Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians' Union of Osaka Prefecture informed about the activities of the Union and expressed his impression of Vietnam's development during his visit to Vietnam in 2023, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan relations. Agreeing with the proposal of the Deputy Prime Minister, members of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians' Union of Osaka Prefecture affirmed their efforts to further promote cooperation between Osaka and Vietnam in all fields.

The Deputy Prime Minister warmly congratulated the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in the Kansai region on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Association's establishment; highly appreciated and thanked the Association for its valuable sentiments and effective contributions to many practical activities for Vietnam over the past 30 years, as well as its support for the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka since its establishment in 1997 until now.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested that the Association members continue to call on enterprises, who are members of the Association, to expand investment and business in Vietnam, especially in the fields of processing industry, supporting industry, high-tech agriculture, biotechnology, digital transformation, green transformation, etc., linking business activities with technology transfer.

The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the Association continue to have many practical activities to strengthen the relationship between Sakai and Vietnam; pay attention to supporting the Vietnamese community studying, working and living in Sakai City and closely cooperate and support the activities of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Osaka.

Leximco Company was established in 2017, is a member company of TH Company chaired by Mr. Nguyen Tien Hanh, operating in the field of labor dispatch, currently managing more than 5,000 Vietnamese workers in Japan. Vietnam House is a center/business establishment established by Mr. Nguyen Tien Hanh with the aim of creating a platform to promote trade cooperation, investment and technology transfer between Vietnam and Japan. Vietnam House is also a member of the Vietnam - Japan Economic Cooperation Promotion Association.
