Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan's visit to South Africa is considered to have many important meanings, contributing to further tightening the good traditional friendship between the two countries.

On the evening of September 13 (local time), Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and the Vietnamese delegation arrived in the capital Pretoria, beginning an official visit to the Republic of South Africa from September 13-16.

Welcoming Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and her delegation at OR Tambo International Airport were Vietnamese Ambassador to South Africa Hoang Sy Cuong, South African Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Mashego-Dlamini, Director of the Central, South and Southeast Asia Department Sindiswa Mququ, South African Ambassador to Vietnam Vuyiswa Tulelo and representatives of organizations and agencies of the two countries.

During the visit, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan is expected to hold talks with the Vice President of South Africa, witness the signing of cooperation documents; meet with the Secretary General of the ruling African National Congress (ANC) in South Africa; meet with the General Secretary of the South African Communist Party; receive the President of the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry and South African businesses; receive leaders and local businesses in South Africa; visit the Vietnamese Embassy in South Africa and meet with officials and the Vietnamese community in South Africa.

In particular, during this official visit, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan will also visit the exhibition, cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Vietnamese Cultural Space in South Africa, and attend the ceremony to celebrate the 78th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day and the 30th anniversary of the two countries establishing diplomatic relations.

The visit of Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan is considered to have many important meanings, contributing to further tightening the good traditional friendship between the two countries, and is expected to add more motivation for the two sides to promote substantive and effective cooperation with specific contents, especially for Vietnamese and South African enterprises to grasp investment and business opportunities.

Previously, from September 10-13, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and her delegation paid an official visit to the Republic of Mozambique.
