Fined 17 million VND for car driver driving in the wrong direction on Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway

On the morning of October 19, a representative of the Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 1 (Traffic Police Department) said that the unit had invited the driver of the car driving in the wrong direction on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway to come and work.

The driver is Mr. TVC (born in 1962, permanent residence in Lien Bao commune, Vinh Yen city, Vinh Phuc ).

At the police station, Mr. C. admitted to driving in the wrong direction on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway on the afternoon of October 16. The police drew up an administrative violation fine for Mr. C. of 17 million VND and revoked his driver's license for 6 months.

Police said driving in the wrong direction on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway is very dangerous and poses a high risk of traffic accidents.

Previously, on the afternoon of October 16, a clip recording a car going in the wrong direction on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway was shared by many people on social networks. According to the image, the car was going in the wrong direction on the road leading to the Red River overpass - near the IC10 intersection (Cam Khe district, Phu Tho ).

The road above has a maximum speed of 100km/h and is about to enter a speed limit of 80km/h (when moving on the bridge). Many drivers driving at high speed had to swerve to avoid this car.
