On the morning of September 8, from two gathering points, the Vietnam-Czech Friendship Labor Cultural Palace (Gia Vien Ward) and the Dong Xu Cultural Center (Le Thanh Nghi Ward), free buses decorated with colorful flags and flowers carried hundreds of people from Hai Phong excitedly to attend the Exhibition "80 Years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi ).
Exciting like a festival
Many people came to the Vietnam-Czech Republic Friendship Cultural Palace this morning with joy and pride, many of them were radiant in their red shirts with yellow stars, holding the national flag. The smiles, greetings and even warm handshakes made the atmosphere even more exciting.
Ms. Vuong Thi Hoa (on Le Loi Street, Gia Vien Ward) emotionally said: “With the city’s attention and arrangement of free transportation, we feel like we are participating in a big festival. I really hope to witness the country’s 80-year achievements with my own eyes…”.

The buses rolled one after another in joy. On the bus, the singing of the National Anthem, the thunderous applause mixed with the pride of each son of Hai Phong. Some families even brought their children along to experience it together.
Taking her 3-year-old granddaughter with her, Mrs. Bui Thi Phuong Lan (Ngo Quyen ward) excitedly boasted: “We have been preparing since last night. This is an opportunity for generations in the family to better understand the history and aspirations that our ancestors have built…”.

The atmosphere of excitement also filled the Eastern Cultural Center (Le Thanh Nghi Ward). Since early morning, hundreds of people from neighboring communes and wards have gathered to prepare for the trip. Ms. Pham Thi Tra (Tan Hung Ward) shared while waiting for the bus: “Last night, I received information on social media to plan to leave this morning. It is very fun to go with the people like this, to have the opportunity to visit the exhibition and experience the closeness of the community…”.

Many veterans in their old uniforms were also present, looking excited. The students were chattering and eagerly waiting. Mr. Tran Tuan Anh (70 years old, living on Ho Sen Street, Le Chan Ward) and his wife, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Binh, were moved and said: “When we learned that the exhibition would last until September 15, our family was very excited. We want to see the image of our country over the past 80 years, which our ancestors built and left for their descendants. It is an honor and a great honor to be able to go like this.”

Local officials, representatives of travel agencies, union members and youths were also present early at the two locations, the Viet Tiep Friendship Labor Cultural Palace and the Dong Xu Cultural Center, to guide and help the elderly and arrange their luggage neatly. At exactly 8 o'clock, convoys of cars with red flags and flowers departed simultaneously, leaving behind greetings, happy smiles and an atmosphere full of confidence.

Meaningful journey of companionship
Organizing free shuttle buses to take people to visit the exhibition is a policy that Hai Phong city implemented right after the Government decided to extend the opening time by 10 days. Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran Thi Hoang Mai shared: "We have consulted with the city so that people can enjoy the best conditions. In particular, the participation of the business community has created a humane activity, taking care of the spiritual life of the people."

Accompanying the city, many businesses have promptly joined hands. Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh, General Director of Anh Loc Phat H68 Trading and Transport Company Limited said: “On September 6, we received a meeting summons and on September 7, we received a call from the city leaders, and immediately prepared. This morning, September 8, the first day, 5 vehicles were mobilized and there were 10 more backup vehicles. In fact, this morning the number of visitors increased dramatically, so we immediately added vehicles and human resources to serve them attentively. In addition to taking care of the material, we find that the city's organization of activities like this is even more meaningful as it contributes to improving the spiritual life of the people.”

Not only providing transportation support, the company also pays attention to every little detail. Mr. Vu Dinh Hai, Deputy General Director of Hai Ha International Tourism and Communications Joint Stock Company, shared: “We are honored to accompany the people of Hai Phong. Responding to the city's call, we have prepared cold towels and free drinking water for each passenger. Looking at everyone's satisfied smiles, we feel that our contribution is truly worthy.”

These concrete actions contributed to creating an emotional trip, where each citizen was both a visitor and a direct witness to the consensus of the government and businesses for the community. The atmosphere at both gathering points on the morning of September 8 was truly a festival. The buses not only carried Hai Phong people to Hanoi to visit the National Achievements Exhibition, but also carried pride in a city that is growing strongly and integrating deeply.

Hai Phong's booth at this year's exhibition is large-scale with an indoor area of 375 m² and an outdoor area of nearly 10,000 m², along with a unique culinary booth - all promising to bring to the people and friends of the whole country the image of a dynamic, creative, and aspirational Hai Phong. For the people, this free trip is both an occasion of gratitude and an opportunity to directly witness the country's 80-year achievements, while also deeply feeling the responsibility and aspiration to contribute in the new era.
