Mr. Tuan was born in 1957 in Thanh Hoa, and is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Construction Development Investment Joint Stock Corporation (DIC Corp). Starting his career at the age of 21, Mr. Nguyen Thien Tuan was an officer working at the Organization - Labor Department, Enterprise 101, Water Supply and Drainage Construction Company No. 1 of the Ministry of Construction . In 1981, he worked at the Oil and Gas Construction Company and was promoted to the positions of Deputy Head of Department and Head of Department. After 10 years of working, he became the first Director at the age of 31 when working at the Life Construction Enterprise, also under the oil and gas company. In addition, Mr. Tuan has held the following positions: Secretary of the Youth Union at the oil and gas company, Member of the Executive Committee of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Youth Union, Standing Committee of the Party Committee at the Oil and Gas Construction Company and Member of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union. In 1990, the Ministry of Construction decided to establish a motel to provide tourism services, and importantly, nursing care for construction workers in Vung Tau. Mr. Tuan was appointed as Director. His career started from here. Initially, the motel only had 8 employees, focusing on nursing care for workers. Over time, Mr. Tuan began to gradually shift to multi-sector and multi-field operations. In 1993, the motel was transformed into the Tourism Services and Construction Investment Company (TIIC) with total assets of 8.2 billion VND. 8 years later, TIIC was transformed into the Development Investment - Construction Company (DIC). In 2008, DIC was equitized into the Construction Development Investment Joint Stock Corporation (DIC Corp), at the same time increasing its charter capital to 370 billion VND and over 30 member companies. At that time, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director Nguyen Thien Tuan represented 32.5% of state capital at DIC Corp. In August 2009, the company officially listed on the stock exchange with the trading code DIG. Under the leadership of Mr. Tuan, in 2017, DIC Corp officially transformed into a private economic group when divesting 49.65% of state capital (equivalent to 118,260,261 shares). At DIC, not only is Mr. Tuan the Chairman of the Board of Directors, but his family members are also major shareholders and hold many key positions at the company. As of December 31, 2022, Mr. Tuan owned more than 46.8 million DIG shares, accounting for 7.68% of charter capital. Ms. Le Thi Ha Thanh, Mr. Tuan's wife, is currently a shareholder of DIC Corp, owning more than 970,000 shares. Mr. Tuan's son, Nguyen Hung Cuong, is currently the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company and is the second largest shareholder with more than 53.9 million shares. Mr. Tuan's daughter, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen, is also the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, owning more than 18 million shares.

Own many large-scale projects

Mr. Tuan's first "huge" real estate project was the Chi Linh Urban Area in the center of Vung Tau city, implemented since 1997. The project has an area of ​​99.7 hectares with a complex of 20 apartment buildings from 15 to 34 floors, with a total investment of up to 8,000 billion VND, and this is also the first new urban area project in the South. Next is the project with a land area of ​​up to nearly 465 hectares, including a golf course - Dai Phuoc Nhon Trach Eco-tourism Urban Area - Dong Nai, with a total investment of more than 7,500 billion VND in 2009. Also in this year, Mr. Tuan brought DIC Corp to the North with the project of the New Urban Area in the South of Vinh Yen City - Vinh Phuc Province with a scale of 446 hectares and a total investment of 8,700 billion VND. DIC Corp also promotes the development of tourism real estate projects including tourist areas, condotels, high-standard hotels associated with international brands in tourist cities or located in the company's urban tourism projects. Typically, Long Tan tourist urban area in Nhon Trach, Dong Nai has a scale of nearly 332 hectares of land and an investment capital of 12,618 billion VND. The new urban area of ​​Bac Vung Tau is located right in the center of Vung Tau city with a scale of more than 90 hectares of land with a total investment capital of 10,971.9 billion VND. Phuong Nam tourist urban area project (Long Dien, Ba Ria - Vung Tau) has a scale of 295 hectares; Ward 4 Urban Area Project (Vi Thanh Town, Hau Giang) with a scale of 202.8 hectares, Ba Sao Eco-tourism Project (Kim Bang, Ha Nam) with a scale of 750 hectares, ICD Industrial Park - Port Project in Thanh Liem ( Ha Nam ) with a scale of 300 hectares, ... Under the leadership of Mr. Nguyen Thien Tuan, DIC Corp has grown strongly over the years. From less than a thousand billion VND in revenue in 2016, the group reached 2,586 billion VND in 2021 and profit nearly reached 1,000 billion VND. However, in 2022, DIC Corp recorded revenue of 1,909 billion VND and pre-tax profit of 197 billion VND, only achieving 38% of the revenue plan and 1/10 of the profit target set at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in April 2022. As of December 31, 2022, DIC Corp's total assets decreased by 12.5% ​​compared to the beginning of the year to VND 14,743 billion.
