Recently, Le Ngoc stage officially performed the play Loi Vu . This play was originally written by Cao Ngu (China), and was set against a backdrop of a clear divide between rich and poor.
As director, People's Artist Hoang Quynh Mai cleverly shortened the original work from 4 hours of performance to more than 2 hours to suit today's audience while still keeping the full system of characters, events, main events and humane messages of author Cao Ngu.
The play has been localized to make it easier for Vietnamese audiences to access. "However, when we bring the play to compete in the China - ASAN Theater Week in China this November to celebrate the 10th anniversary of this event, we believe that the play will also be well received by international audiences because although localized, the story is still very easy to understand," People's Artist Le Ngoc shared.
In Loi Vu, People's Artist Le Ngoc very successfully portrayed Phồn Y - a beautiful woman who is passionately and blindly in the crazy love of her stepmother and stepchild. People's Artist Le Ngoc very well portrayed the character's complex psychological development, sometimes cunning but innocent and naive, fierce but gentle at the same time, suddenly sane and suddenly crazy, cruel beyond compare but loving beyond compare.
In addition, People's Artist Thu Que was also highly appreciated for her role as Thi Binh - a simple, rustic, austere woman but full of self-respect and sacrifice. In some scenes, People's Artist moved the audience when expressing the character of Thi Binh. For her, every time she stands on stage is a time to "burn" herself out with her passion for the stage.
In addition to People's Artist Le Ngoc and People's Artist Thu Que, the performances of artists such as Van Hai, Han Quang Tu, Kim Oanh, Lam Cuong... also impressed the audience.
