The Hanoi Concert - Summer Concert 2025 program organized by Hanoi Radio and Television Station, concludes the four-season program series with a fresh, bustling and energetic summer highlight.

Under the baton of conductor Honna Tetsuji, the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO) takes the audience on a special musical journey through two parts: Vietnamese Music - Symphony Concerto andWorld Classical Music.

The highlight of the program is the first performance on the symphony stage of songs familiar to Vietnamese people such as: Entering summer (composed by Le Huu Ha), Phuong hong (composed by Vu Hoang - Do Trung Quan), Ha trang (composed by Trinh Cong Son), Singing with the little cicada (composed by Thanh Tung)...

Melodies once associated with school memories, now dressed in new harmonies, create an experience that is both strange and familiar.

Two familiar voices to pop music lovers - People's Artist Tan Minh and singer Khanh Linh - will perform important performances.

People's Artist Tan Minh performed Phuong Hong for the first time in symphonic style, a song that has been associated with his name since the early years of his career.

After his performance at the concert, People's Artist Tan Minh shared that bringing light music works into the symphony space was not only an interesting experiment, but also a valuable opportunity for him.

“This is a golden time for musicians like us. The audience's level of musical appreciation is getting higher and higher, and their aesthetic taste is also more refined.

Now, artists have the opportunity to put on songs with literary and life values, whether by veteran musicians or the younger generation, a new “coat”: Symphony music. A form that is very familiar to the world and is increasingly closer to the Vietnamese public,” the male artist expressed.

At the music night, singer Khanh Linh, with her light lirico soprano voice, continued to bring bright colors to the program through summer lyrical songs.

In addition to Vietnamese works renewed in symphonic language, part 2 of the program brings the audience to world classical masterpieces such as: Scherzo - A Midsummer Night's Dream (Mendelssohn), Farandole (Bizet), Overture to Act III of the opera Lohengrin (Wagner), Country Melody (Beethoven), and lively polkas by Johann Strauss II.

In this cross-cultural artistic space, two soloists also contributed to shaping the program's identity. Violinist Hoang Ho Khanh Van performed the classic Summer from Antonio Vivaldi's Four Seasons - the opening piece of the European summer symphony circuit.

Meanwhile, flute artist Le Thu Huong brings "Tieng flute que huong " - a piece of music imbued with Vietnamese folklore, creating a soft balance between tradition and modernity, East and West.

Sharing about the arrangement, musician Do Kien Cuong, who participated in arranging many works in the program, said: “In Hanoi Concert - Summer Concert 2025, there are songs that audiences are used to hearing melodies and sounds from small bands, with accompaniment or beats.

But when performed with an orchestra, the effect will be much greater. Because 60 or 100 artists will be 60 or 100 powerful energies. Therefore, the audience will enjoy the best energy of the artists."
