iPad models not updated to iPadOS 18

iPadOS 18 will be introduced by Apple this fall, but not all models running iOS 17 will be able to update to the latest version of the operating system. MacRumors quoted an anonymous source confirming that iPad models running the A10X Fusion chip will be excluded from the update list scheduled for September.

The first two models on this list will be the 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro duo launched in 2017 because they both use the A10X Fusion chip. In addition, the iPad Gen 6 and 7 also have to stop at iPadOS 17 because they run the A10 Fusion chip, which is weaker than the A10X version.
