Deputy Political Commissar of Huong Lap Border Guard Station, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Nhu Quan, said on September 5 that early in the morning, Border Guard officers and soldiers went to the homes of Van Kieu and Pa Ko students in Cu Bai, Cup - Cuoi, and Ka Tieng villages in Huong Lap commune to help carry them across the stream so they could get to school on time for the opening ceremony. These are students with difficult circumstances who are sponsored by Huong Lap Border Guard Station.

“To make it to the opening ceremony on time, the soldiers had to take the students on a shortcut of about 3km instead of taking the main road of nearly 10km. This road required wading through many deep, slippery streams. Therefore, we had to support the students to attend the opening ceremony at Huong Lap Primary and Secondary Boarding School on time,” Lieutenant Colonel Quan shared.

It is known that Huong Lap Border Guard Station adopted and supported 9 children with especially difficult circumstances, including 4 children under the Project "Army officers and soldiers help children go to school" and 5 children under the Program "Adopted children of border guard stations - Help children go to school".

Overcome steep rocky roads.

Meanwhile, in Kim Phu commune, 3 villages of the Ruc ethnic group have been isolated by floodwaters for 3 weeks now. To prepare for the opening ceremony of the new school year, teachers here had to park their vehicles at the beginning of the road, then travel by boat to get to school.

Teacher Phan Tien Dung, Principal of Thuong Hoa Primary and Secondary School, located in Kim Phu commune, said: The school has 3 campuses, of which the main campus is located in Yen Hop village, the remaining 2 campuses are located in On and Mo o O o villages. In the 2025-2056 school year, the school has nearly 150 students, all of whom are children of the Ruc and Sach ethnic groups of the Chut ethnic group.
