BHG - Implementing the Resolution of the 24th Party Congress of the commune, term 2020 - 2025, there are many advantages and challenges intertwined, but with the determination, innovation, flexibility in the direction and management of the Party Committee, the government and the consensus and solidarity of the whole people, Tung Ba commune (Vi Xuyen) today has put on a prosperous appearance, is one of the localities that always leads the emulation movements of the district.
The Resolution of the 24th Commune Party Congress sets out 17 main targets for socio-economic development and 3 key breakthroughs including: Building socio-economic infrastructure; developing tourism, high-quality agricultural products according to the value chain and creating livelihoods, improving the material and spiritual life of the people. Up to now, the commune has completed and exceeded 16 targets, 1 target has not been achieved on developing buffalo and cow herds due to changes in the livestock industry structure.

Regarding Tung Ba today, the most easily noticeable change is the spacious, clean, and regionally connected rural roads. During the term, the commune received 2,507 tons of cement, built 45 concrete roads with a total length of 19.6 km; mobilized 5.1 billion VND from the social sector and people donated 11,780 m² of land to build the New Rural Area. The rate of inter-commune and inter-village roads that are concreted reached 100%, and the rate of hardened alley roads reached 99.3%, creating favorable conditions for production, trade, and people's lives.
Along with that, the agricultural economy has shifted positively, contributing to increasing income, stabilizing livelihoods and sustainably reducing poverty. The total area of annual crops is 1,449 hectares, food output is 5,713 tons, an average of 791.8 kg/person/year. The average annual product value per hectare of cultivated land is over 70 million VND; forest coverage is 81%, forestry production value is over 8.5 billion VND; 3 national target programs are implemented synchronously and effectively with a total allocated capital of 9.6 billion VND. Commodity agriculture has strongly developed with linkage models such as: Growing chili on 9.5 hectares, cucumber on 4 hectares, raising black-bone chickens on 24 households with 20,000 heads, raising commercial pigs on a scale of 500 heads, raising yellow cows on 130 heads/10 households, and linking up to raise ducks on 660 heads/22 households.
The whole commune has 807 poor and near-poor households receiving preferential loans for economic development with a total outstanding debt of over 46 billion VND. There are 221 households renovating mixed gardens; eliminating 37 temporary and dilapidated houses. Notably, 193 poor households have made efforts to escape poverty through sustainable livelihoods, the poverty rate at the end of the term has decreased to 14.25%.Education , health care, and culture have all received attention and focus. All 3 schools have met national standards level I; over 20,160 people have received health care, exceeding the plan by 118%. The rate of malnourished children under 5 years old has decreased to 15.67%. 100% of villages have achieved the title of cultural village, 85.6% of households have met cultural standards, contributing to fostering a civilized lifestyle and pushing back bad customs. The rate of administrative procedure settlement through public services has reached 100%; Level 2 electronic identification activation reached 92%, exceeding the assigned target.
During the term, the Commune Party Committee admitted 61 new Party members, exceeding the target by 150%. Attention was paid to political and ideological education for cadres and Party members; inspection and supervision were carried out seriously. The Fatherland Front and mass organizations actively innovated the content and methods of operation, promoted the effectiveness of supervision and social criticism, contributing to building a clean and strong Party.
Entering a new development stage, Tung Ba commune is one of 10 communes in the province that have not merged because they meet the conditions in terms of natural area and population size. However, in order to keep pace and move forward, Tung Ba commune continues to set the goal of building a strong political system, mobilizing all resources to develop the socio-economy, effectively implementing programs and projects, promoting democracy at the grassroots level, and further improving the lives of the people. In particular, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Party Committee and government in the context of operating a two-level local government.
