(NLDO) - That was the message from the principal of Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics at the opening ceremony of the new school year 2025-2026 held on the morning of September 5.

Unlike other opening ceremonies that took place on September 5, the opening ceremony of the new school year at Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics became a memorable milestone when all lecturers received special tasks.

Before the new school year begins, Master Tran Van Tu, Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, assigned a special task to all lecturers of the school.

After reviewing the journey of more than 35 years of formation and development, Master Tran Van Tu, Principal of Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics, affirmed that today's achievements are the result of the tireless efforts of many generations.

In the current context, training high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of the 4.0 labor market and international integration is very necessary. MSc. Tu said that this task is not difficult, but not all teachers can complete it well if they do not truly love their profession.

"I hope that all teachers will keep the flame of love and impart knowledge with all their heart and responsibility. I know that we all have our own hardships and difficulties. However, when taking on the mission of being a teacher, let's devote ourselves to the future generation. Only then can we help them grow up and become useful citizens for society" - Master Tu emphasized.

The school principal called on all staff and lecturers to be pioneers in innovation and creativity, enhance the spirit of service, and create the best working and learning environment.

After the opening ceremony, new students will move to the classroom to continue activities and study first-year skills classes.

Assigning tasks to students, Master Tu hopes that new students will study seriously, actively, practice necessary skills, and be creative to serve their studies and life. At the same time, practice behavior, cultivate the soul, maintain a proper attitude, and be polite to everyone.

"Now, you are gradually leaving your comfort zone, stepping out of the protection of your parents and relatives. You will have to get used to living independently, taking care of yourself, and practicing discipline to overcome all difficulties or temptations to have fun. That is how you show your responsibility to your family and society" - Master Tu shared.

This year's opening ceremony is very special because this is the first time all levels of education across the country have saluted the flag, sung the national anthem, and joined in the atmosphere to welcome the new school year.
