On July 28, news from the Rescue, Conservation and Development Center of Organisms of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park in Quang Binh province, the unit has just coordinated with the Forest Protection Department of Bo Trach district and the Forest Protection Department of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park to receive 01 rare Python.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Tho (in Xuan Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province) voluntarily handed over a rare python, a wild animal listed in the Red Book, to the authorities.

Accordingly, the person who handed over the large wild animal was Mr. Nguyen Huu Tho, a farmer in Xuan Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province.

At the time the authorities received the wild animal listed in the Red Book handed over by Mr. Nguyen Huu Tho, the ground snake weighed 4.5 kg.

After being received, this python will be cared for by the Rescue, Conservation and Development Center of Organisms of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park in Quang Binh province.

The Rescue, Conservation and Development Center of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park will nurture and train the python to recover its wild habits before releasing it back into the natural environment.

The python belongs to group IIB, an endangered and rare wild animal, listed in the Vietnam Red Book. Currently, the number of this wild animal species has seriously decreased due to loss of habitat and hunting.
