Held from 1980 to 2000 and sponsored by the Camel cigarette company, the Camel Trophy is one of the most famous off-road racing series of the past. After the first season, the organizers approached Land Rover for support and for the next 20 years, the company's yellow cars became the symbol of the tournament. To recall the famous Camel Trophy, Land Rover has continuously created special Defender Rally cars since 2021. However, unlike previous Defender Trophy Editions that were only available in a few markets and limited to a few hundred units, the 2025 Defender 110 Trophy Edition will be sold globally for the first time.
Although no longer directly associated with the Camel brand due to copyright issues and tobacco advertising laws in many countries, the influence of classic cars is still evident in the signature Deep Sandglow yellow color. Buyers can choose Keswick Green as an alternative, but no matter which colour they choose, the hood, wheel arches and lower bodywork are all gloss black. Other Defender Trophy features include 20-inch gloss black forged alloy wheels with off-road tyres, dark-tinted front and rear mudguards and Trophy decals on the bonnet and C-pillars.
Land Rover also offers a range of optional accessories to personalise the Trophy Edition, including the Expedition Roof Rack, folding ladder, external storage box, mudguards and snorkel… all to optimise off-road capability for unlimited exploration . The interior of the Defender 110 Trophy Edition inherits the latest improvements from the 2026 upgrade. Highlights include a newly designed gear lever, a modern 13.1-inch central touchscreen, and luxurious black Windsor leather seats. Interior details such as the classic dashboard and door panels are painted in the same color as the exterior, creating harmony in the overall design. The auxiliary handles on the dashboard are also equipped with Trophy badges as a special mark for the owner. Land Rover equips the Defender 110 Trophy Edition with two engine options: a 2.0L 4-cylinder with a plug-in hybrid system (PHEV) for a maximum capacity of 404 horsepower, and a 3.0L 6-cylinder engine with a capacity of 400 horsepower. Both versions come with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a full-time 4-wheel drive system, helping the SUV maintain stable performance on all terrains.
With a standard ground clearance of up to 218 mm and a wading ability of up to 900 mm, the Trophy Edition is designed to be not only durable but also agile on rugged roads. In the UK, the Defender 110 Trophy Edition starts at £82,990 (about VND2.9 billion), while the X-Dynamic HSE version using a 2.0L PHEV engine costs from £80,050 (VND2.81 billion). Some sources said that this special version may be brought to the Vietnamese market in the near future.
