Pham Hong Quy (4th year IT student, Nha Trang) studies IoT Embedded Programming with Lumi at FUNiX to improve programming skills and find job opportunities.

According to the male student, the Internet of Things (IoT) industry is opening up attractive career opportunities in the era of the 4.0 revolution. Determining that FUNiX's training time is quite short, focusing on the practical knowledge that businesses need, Pham Hong Quy registered for the IoT Embedded Programming course with Lumi at FUNiX. His biggest goal is to improve his skills beyond the knowledge in the classroom, so that he can find a job soon in this industry.

After a period of studying at the "cloud school", Quy realized that the course met more than expected. "From knowledge to learning community, everyone is enthusiastic and hard-working, making me attracted to them. Besides studying, I also connected and built good relationships, supporting each other to study better to develop myself", Quy shared.

The Gen Z male highly appreciated the support of the Hannah and mentor team. Through consultation sessions, Q&A sessions, with practical experience and the ability to grasp the psychology of students very "correctly and accurately", the mentors helped him overcome many difficulties in the learning process as well as find job opportunities in the field of IOT - a technology industry that is still quite new in Vietnam.

Before, when choosing to pursue IoT, the male student was worried about internships or job applications, because he thought this was a specialized industry with not much development scale, and he himself lacked confidence in interviewing or writing a CV. But after participating in a discussion with mentor Nguyen Phu Phuong - with 10 years of experience in embedded programming and 5 years in IoT programming, all his worries were erased.

The mentor believes that there are more internship opportunities in the IoT industry if students are willing to learn, and there are many companies willing to accept interns. The knowledge that FUNiX has equipped is enough for students to be able to do this internship. The goal of this course is that right after completion, students can work at companies related to smarthome, smartcity and most directly at Lumi Vietnam. "The mentor's sharing makes me feel more encouraged and confident about my choice of study," Quy said.

Currently studying the final course of the program, the Nha Trang student said that the course provided a lot of knowledge to supplement his studies in the classroom, and also helped him combine software writing with embedded programming to make the product more and more perfect. This is an important factor, because when applying for a job in the IoT industry, the actual product is the biggest advantage to be able to successfully apply to the enterprise.

Sharing about his favorite thing during his studies, Quy said that knowledge about microcontrollers surprised him the most about the capabilities it can do in such a small form. He also learned many interesting things about Zigbee wireless networks. This knowledge helps him learn more about microcontrollers and other wireless networks such as Wifi or Bluetooth. "Thanks to that, I can integrate more features into my products," Quy said.

Sharing his experience studying the IoT Embedded Programming course, the Nha Trang student said that he usually spends 3 hours a day, usually after 9 pm, studying at FUNiX. He should study sequentially according to the available curriculum, not studying ahead of time, which can easily lead to gaps in knowledge. In addition, he often reads the assignments in advance to know what knowledge he needs to do well on the assignment, saving more time.

Having accumulated a lot of experience from his seniors and good self-study ability, Quy has become a tutor to support other students in the FUNiX learning community. This helps him gain more energy and desire to continue participating in learning activities at FUNiX even after finishing the course.

Quy's immediate goal is to successfully complete the IOT Embedded Programming course, which will be the key to helping him confidently seek open job opportunities in the IoT industry to develop himself and master his career.
