Lam Dong establishes inter-level school to facilitate students after province merger

GD&TĐ - In order to meet the learning needs of students after the province's merger, Lam Dong Department of Education and Training proposed to establish Xuan Huong Primary and Secondary School.

On September 9, information from the Lam Dong Department of Education and Training said that Xuan Huong Primary and Secondary School will be established. The purpose is to meet the learning needs of children of officials and civil servants from Binh Thuan and Dak Nong (old) who come to Da Lat to work after the province's merger.

According to Ms. Le Thi Bich Lien - Director of Lam Dong Department of Education and Training, Xuan Huong Primary and Secondary School is located at 39 Tran Phu, Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat. This is an area that utilizes the facilities of Lam Dong College of Economics and Technology (old), Anh Dao Kindergarten and the Provincial People's Court (old).

The school is expected to accommodate 2,050 students in 50 classes, including 20 primary classes and 30 secondary classes. To ensure teaching activities, the Department of Education and Training will mobilize and arrange about 87 staff and teachers to work at the school.
The site handover has been completed. Lam Dong Department of Education and Training requests relevant departments and branches to coordinate in implementing necessary items such as: appraisal of repair plans, ensuring fire prevention and fighting safety, purchasing synchronous teaching equipment, etc. to put the new facility into effective operation, meeting needs right from the first school year.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, the establishment of Xuan Huong Primary and Secondary School is an urgent requirement, which needs to be implemented on schedule to promptly serve teaching and learning. He requested the Department of Education and Training to urgently develop a specific project, based on a survey of the number of students and a plan to supplement the teaching staff accurately and fully.

At the same time, the Provincial People's Committee requested the authorities of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat and related departments and branches to take synchronous action to ensure that Xuan Huong Primary and Secondary School officially comes into operation from April 18, 2026.

According to statistics from the Department of Education and Training, there are currently more than 1,000 students who are children of officials and civil servants from Binh Thuan and Dak Nong (formerly) studying at schools in the old Da Lat City. The establishment of a new school is considered a timely solution, creating favorable learning conditions for the children.
