On the afternoon of June 23, Hanoi City Police announced that the Investigation Police Agency had prosecuted Vu Nam Phuong (aka Vu Hong Phuc "Cun Bong"), Nguyen Nam Thang (Phuong's husband) and Chu Thi My Nhung (accountant) for violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences.

Through investigation, authorities accused Phuong's husband of establishing the US Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company in 2017.

Then, from 2023 to present, Phuong and his wife directed Nhung to declare revenue to the authorities of only more than 5 billion VND, while the actual revenue initially recorded by the investigation agency was more than 120 billion VND, causing a loss to the State of more than 10 billion VND in tax.

According to the National Business Registration Portal, US Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company was established in October 2017. The company is headquartered in Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi. Its main business is wholesale of other household items (wholesale of pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, suitcases, briefcases, bags, wallets, etc.).

The registered charter capital is 20 billion VND contributed by 3 shareholders including Pham Quynh Hoa contributing 2 billion VND (10% of capital), Pham Quynh Anh contributing 9 billion VND (45% of capital), Pham Duy Anh contributing 9 billion VND (45% of capital). At the time of establishment, Ms. Pham Quynh Anh was the director and legal representative.
