Launching three dynamic projects in Nam Phu Yen Economic Zone

On the morning of August 19, at the National Exhibition Center, Hanoi, the Government held the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony of 250 projects and works to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). The groundbreaking ceremony was held live and online to connecting points nationwide.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh gave a speech at the ceremony.

The projects and works inaugurated and started on this occasion focus on areas such as: traffic infrastructure, civil and urban works, industrial works, technical infrastructure, social housing, agriculture and rural development, etc.

Of which, there are 8 national key projects , 46 group A projects, 155 group B projects and 41 group C projects. The total investment is 1.28 million billion VND; of which, state capital invests in 129 projects with 478,000 billion VND, accounting for 37% of the total investment and 122 projects with other capital sources with 802,000 billion VND, accounting for 63% of the total investment, 5 FDI projects with capital of 54,000 billion VND.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: The inauguration and groundbreaking of 250 typical projects and construction works across the country is a vivid demonstration of the spirit of great national unity, the strong will to rise up of our country, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Today’s projects span from North to South, across many important areas. These are not just concrete and steel structures, but more importantly, structures of faith, aspiration and determination to build a strong and prosperous Vietnam.

The Prime Minister requested ministries, sectors, localities, investors, enterprises and workers to construct safely, "faster, faster" so that the project can be completed on schedule and ahead of schedule, ensuring investment efficiency and public consensus. The Government is committed to continuing to accompany and remove difficulties so that all projects can be implemented most smoothly.

"With high political determination and the joint efforts of the entire political system, business community and people, today's projects will create strong momentum for socio-economic development, improve people's lives, and contribute to bringing Vietnam's growth to double digits," Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed.

* Along with the whole country, on this occasion, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee simultaneously launched 3 projects.

Delegates watched online the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony of projects and works at the Bai Goc Port Area bridge point.

The launching ceremony of the Hoa Tam Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Construction Project - Phase 1 (Hoa Tam Industrial Park) and the Bai Goc Port Investment and Construction Project (Bai Goc Port) took place at Bai Goc Port Area (Hoa Xuan Commune).

Regarding the Central leadership delegates, there were comrades attending: Nguyen Hong Dien, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Industry and Trade; Pham Dai Duong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Strategic Policy Committee; Le Xuan Dinh, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.

Mr. Tran Van Tan, Director of the Department of Finance, announced the Decision approving the investment policy of Bai Goc Port Project.

Hoa Tam Industrial Park has a land use scale of nearly 492 hectares, total investment capital of more than 4,188 billion VND, the investor is Hoa Tam Industrial Park Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company.

The project is invested in synchronous infrastructure construction with the goal of serving the formation of Hoa Phat Iron and Steel Complex with a capacity of 6 million tons/year, creating jobs for more than 24,000 workers and other supporting industries.

Perspective of Hoa Tam Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction and Business Investment Project - Phase 1 and Bai Goc Port Construction Investment Project.

Bai Goc Port has a scale of 12 berths, capable of receiving ships with a capacity of up to 220,000 DWT fully loaded. The designed capacity is 26.7 million tons/year, with products and services provided: loading, unloading, storing and transporting goods to directly serve the needs of forming and developing Hoa Tam Industrial Park, oil refinery complex, metallurgy and energy industry. The investor is Bai Goc Phu Yen Port Joint Stock Company.

Provincial leaders presented the Decision approving the investment policy of Bai Goc Port Project to the representative of Bai Goc Phu Yen Port Joint Stock Company.

Representing the investor, Mr. Tran Dinh Long, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hoa Phat Group, said: The implementation of the projects aims to realize the group's commitments to Dak Lak province. With its tradition and experience over the past 33 years, Hoa Phat will quickly implement the progress and promote the effectiveness of the project.

When completed, the above projects will raise Vietnam's position on the world steel industry map, contribute 10,000 billion VND to the provincial budget each year, create jobs for local direct workers and tens of thousands of indirect workers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ta Anh Tuan affirmed: Bai Goc Port and Hoa Tam Industrial Park forming a steel factory complex with a capacity of 6 million tons/year will be the core, contributing to realizing the target of double-digit economic growth in the coming period and gradually making Dak Lak a new growth pole of the Central Highlands and South Central Coast.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ta Anh Tuan spoke at the ceremony.

These projects, when put into operation, will create a ripple effect for the development of the province's trade and service sectors. In particular, Dak Lak province firmly believes that development must go hand in hand with environmental protection. Provincial leaders hope to continue receiving consensus, sharing and support from all people to implement the projects.

The High-Tech Industrial Park, invested by N&G Group Corporation, is deployed on an area of about 251.6 hectares in Hoa Hiep ward.

The project has a total investment of about 2,369 billion VND; investing in synchronous infrastructure construction to attract high-tech industries and supporting industries for high-tech production such as: Information and communication technology; pharmaceutical and biological technology; environmental technology and renewable energy; electronics and electronic equipment technology; automobile and automotive electronics technology; robot and automation technology; AI artificial intelligence technology; materials technology and nanotechnology; logistics...

Comrade Ho Thi Nguyen Thao, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Ho Thi Nguyen Thao, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said: Nam Phu Yen Economic Zone has an area of over 20,000 hectares, is one of the coastal economic zones of the country, with many competitive advantages such as: Synchronous infrastructure connection system, Bai Goc deep-water seaport is oriented to become an important seaport of the South Central Coast and Central Highlands.

In the socio-economic development strategy, Dak Lak province clearly identifies the Nam Phu Yen Economic Zone as not only expanding the development space to the East, but also being an important development driving force of the province, a place where all conditions converge to form an industrial - commercial - service - logistics chain between the Central Highlands and the South Central Coast.

When completed, the High-Tech Industrial Park project will attract more secondary investors, create jobs for tens of thousands of workers, create a stable and sustainable source of budget revenue, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the locality.

The province is committed to always accompanying, promptly removing difficulties, and creating the most favorable conditions for the project to be implemented on schedule and effectively.
