New school year opening in Loc Thanh border area

(CTT-Dong Nai) - On the morning of September 5, joining the opening atmosphere across the country, 4 kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools in Loc Thanh border commune, Dong Nai province held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the education sector's tradition and open the 2025-2026 school year.

Attending and sharing joy with teachers and students of the schools were comrade Ha Anh Dung - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province; comrade Tran Hoang Truc - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Loc Thanh commune.
In the 2025-2026 school year, Loc Thanh commune has over 1,700 students of all levels, including 188 first graders, 154 sixth graders and 58 newly enrolled kindergarteners.

Welcome ceremony for new students

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province awarded 20 scholarships (each worth 1 million VND); the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education awarded 100 gifts worth 100 million VND to students in difficult circumstances, providing more motivation for teachers and students in the border area, where over 34% of ethnic minorities live.

Comrade Ha Anh Dung - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province presented scholarships to students in difficult circumstances.

In particular, Loc Hoa Primary and Secondary School was honored to receive the Certificate of National Standard Level 1 and Education Quality Assessment Level 2. The school also awarded the title of Basic Emulation Fighter and Certificate of Merit to 17 individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2024-2025 school year.

Hoa Lu International Border Guard Station presented 800 blank notebooks and financial support to children adopted by border guards.

After the opening ceremony, all delegates, teachers and students in Loc Thanh commune attended the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training ) and the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year, which was broadcast live on VTV1 channel of Vietnam Television.
