On April 18, the Hanoi Association of Women Entrepreneurs (HNEW) and the Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe (VWFE) held a working session and signed a Cooperation Agreement to enhance the role, position and contributions of Vietnamese women in economic and social fields.

The two sides agreed to cooperate in the spirit of respect, goodwill, and mutual assistance to achieve the common goals that have been set. Some of the contents of cooperation between the two sides include: Exchange of information and experience on the activities of women's organizations in Europe and Vietnam; Support and advice for women's organizations in building development strategies and implementing projects related to women's development; Exchange of experience and cooperation in the activities of Vietnamese women to preserve Vietnamese values while integrating well abroad; Organize and coordinate participation in seminars, talks, and forums on solutions and experiences in enhancing the role of women in economic and social fields; Organize training programs on leadership and management skills for women to help women have the opportunity to develop themselves and demonstrate their role in society, promptly updating with the development of science and technology.
At the signing ceremony, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Women Entrepreneurs Association Bui Thi Hai Yen said that the Association was established in 2008, with the mission of connecting Hanoi businesswomen to share and support each other for the common goal of "Happiness - Respect and Success", contributing to improving the capacity and competitiveness of businesswomen. With a membership of nearly 250 women who are female leaders of enterprises in the private economic sector, operating in all fields and industries, the Hanoi Women Entrepreneurs Association is gradually affirming its role and contribution to the economic development of Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general.
“Promoting trade and investment, strengthening connections with organizations and associations to support business development and international integration are among the top priorities of the Association. The Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe is a prestigious organization in the Vietnamese community in Europe. This cooperation agreement will open up a direction for development, supporting each other to achieve the goals of both sides,” Ms. Bui Thi Hai Yen shared.
Ms. Phan Bich Thien, Chairwoman of the Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe, also hopes that the cooperation with the Hanoi Women Entrepreneurs Association will help connect Hanoi businessmen with businessmen in Europe, bringing specific benefits to both, and will make it easier to carry out charity activities in Vietnam.
Established in June 2023, the Forum currently has 48 executive board members and more than 250 members from 21 countries around the world, implementing many practical activities, creating connections between Vietnamese women in countries in the region as well as towards the homeland. Forum members in these countries have organized many connecting activities together in many events in France, Germany, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, etc., creating a very effective network of connections between Vietnamese women in Europe. In the future, to serve this connection criterion, the Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe will continue to have movement activities so that women regardless of age or background can participate.
