Merge Yen Bai and Lao Cai Tourism Associations into Lao Cai Provincial Tourism Association

The Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee has just signed Decision No. 676/QD-UBND allowing the merger of Yen Bai Provincial Tourism Association and Lao Cai Provincial Tourism Association (before the merger) into Lao Cai Provincial Tourism Association (after the merger).

Accordingly, within 30 days from the effective date of the Decision, the two old associations are responsible for transferring all assets, finances, organization, personnel, rights and obligations to the Lao Cai Provincial Tourism Association (new); at the same time, terminate operations and return the seal to the competent authority in accordance with the provisions of law.

Lao Cai Provincial Tourism Association is a voluntary social-professional organization; operating under the charter approved by competent authorities, under the state management of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and departments and branches related to the tourism sector.

Lao Cai and the old Yen Bai are two multi-ethnic provinces with many similar cultural features. Therefore, the merger of the Tourism Associations of the two provinces after the merger is expected to create a new driving force to promote tourism promotion, market expansion and development cooperation between travel businesses.

Lao Cai Province Tourism Association has also proposed many solutions to promote the development of member businesses.

Mr. Dao Duc Long, Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Tourism Association added: “To support businesses in promoting their products, Lao Cai Tourism Association will create conditions for businesses to participate in fairs and exhibitions. The Association will also regularly organize workshops to equip businesses with new skills, update international standards, thereby creating more innovative and creative products."

The merger on the new administrative platform not only facilitates the management and coordination of association activities but also expands the development space for tourism and travel businesses. Thereby, contributing to bringing many unique tourism products, enhancing the experience for visitors when coming to Lao Cai.
