In the first 6 months of 2025, the industry trade union and grassroots trade unions have closely followed the tasks and activities of the industry and units. The work of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers and grasping the situation of life, work, thoughts and aspirations has been promptly implemented.
Up to now, the whole industry has 36/45 units signing Collective Labor Agreements with many contents more beneficial to union members and employees in terms of salary, bonus, health insurance, mid-shift meals; 30 units in the industry support mid-shift meals for 5,490 employees; 1,516 union members have received periodic health check-ups...

The work of caring for people's lives has been proactively implemented with many practical activities such as giving gifts, shopping vouchers, free medical test vouchers... to hundreds of union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with serious illnesses on holidays, Tet and Workers' Month 2025...
The program "Union Shelter" has been deployed by the industry union to its affiliated trade unions, thereby supporting funding to build houses for 6 union members with difficult housing circumstances, with a total amount of 300 million VND.
Emulation movements such as "Good worker, creative worker", "Green - clean - beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene", "Studying to improve educational level and professional skills for integration and development"... are deployed to a large number of union members and workers.

In the first 6 months of the year, the industry union established 5 grassroots unions, admitted 642 union members into the union organization; introduced 20 outstanding union members for the Party to consider and admitted 12 party members...
At the conference, the Industry Union deployed a plan to end operations for 4 grassroots unions in administrative agencies and public service units receiving 100% of their salaries from the state budget, with 149 union members.
At the same time, transfer 52 grassroots trade unions that are not subject to dissolution, with 5,771 union members to the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) for management and direction of activities; completion time before June 23, 2025.

At the conference, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the Emulation Flag to the ASEAN Steel Joint Stock Company Trade Union, awarded certificates of merit to 1 collective and 2 individuals; the Provincial Confederation of Labor awarded certificates of merit to 4 collectives and 11 individuals with outstanding achievements in trade union activities in 2024.
The Trade Union of Industry and Trade also awarded a decision to support funding for the construction of "Trade Union Shelter" houses for 6 union members with difficult housing circumstances (50 million VND/house).
