May School Primary School students achieved many achievements in the national round of the FMO Math competition

In the international Mathematics competition organized by FMO (Fermat Mathematical Olympiad) national round for the 2025-2026 school year annually in mid-September, students of MAY Primary and Secondary School (Phuong Liet Ward, Hanoi) won many high prizes.

The FMO International Mathematics Competition has the participation of thousands of contestants from nearly 20 countries and territories, such as: Azerbaijan, India, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Hong Kong (China), Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Vietnam,...

Candidates participate in many different rounds, including: Qualifying round (online competition), National round (centralized competition), International round (expected to take place directly in Nha Trang, Vietnam) in January 2026.

At the national round of the 2025-2026 school year of the competition, along with many contestants from all over the country, the team of students from May Primary and Secondary School achieved many impressive achievements with 4 Gold Medals from the students: Truong Tuong Vy (class 1A2); Le Mai Phuong (class 1B1); Luu Chi Thanh (class 2A1); Ly Gia Han (class 2A4).

In addition to the Gold Medal, 6 other students of the school also won 6 Silver Medals including: Phan Phuc Huy (class 1A1), Nguyen Quy Dat (1A1), Le Minh Thanh (2A1), Tran Anh Minh (3B1), Nguyen Quy Phat (4A1), Nguyen Quang Vinh (5A1).

Two first grade students, Vu Thanh Tu (1B1) and Tran Anh Tuan (1B3) also excellently won Bronze Medals.

Representatives of MAY Primary and Secondary School said that the achievements of the school's students demonstrate the continuous efforts in learning and the spirit of striving, passion for discovery and advancement of teachers and students, continuing to affirm the reputation of the school's quality in education and training.

FMO is an international Mathematical Olympiad organized annually by Fermat Education. This is a useful intellectual playground, gathering students who love Mathematics from primary to high school. With the aim of helping students develop mathematical abilities, creative thinking and applying knowledge in solving practical life problems, global issues, the content of the FMO exam does not focus on academic, difficult and complex knowledge but approaches it in a way that is close to knowledge suitable for the general education program at each level. The exam brings students many interesting experiences through vivid practical problems, thereby helping them recognize Mathematics in everyday life situations.
