2 majors integrate flight attendant and pilot certificates
In 2025, Vietnam Aviation Academy will recruit more than 4,600 students (an increase of about 1,100 compared to last year). Admission methods include: direct admission; high school graduation exam scores; 12th grade transcripts; competency assessment test scores; SAT/ACT/IB international certificates.
Notably, this year for the first time, Vietnam Aviation Academy opened a major in flight management and operations integrated with pilot training, recruiting 30 students and committing to output.
The training academy cooperates with the Vietnam Flight Pilot School and other flight schools in the Czech Republic, South Africa, and the United States. Graduates will receive a flight operations management engineer degree and a foreign partner commercial pilot license (CPL), which is valid both in Vietnam and internationally.
In addition to the general requirements, candidates must pass a pilot medical test and standards for height, weight, appearance, communication, and background.
In addition, Vietnam Aviation Academy officially opened a flight attendant training program under the aviation commercial services management training program (code 7810103A). Students study for 8 semesters, combining training in trade, services, tourism , aviation and vocational training according to international standards ATO (Approved Training Organization).
Graduates receive a regular bachelor's degree in tourism and travel services management and an ATO flight attendant certificate.
Tuition fees by major
Vietnam Aviation Academy announced the expected tuition fees for the 2025-2026 school year. The program taught in Vietnamese, flight operations management and aviation engineering is 18.5 million VND/semester (15 credits). The tuition fees for the remaining majors are 15.5 million VND/semester. The tuition fees for the English-language programs are 1.3 times higher than the Vietnamese-language programs. The tuition fee increase roadmap is not more than 10% per year.
Tuition fees for 2 majors with integrated vocational certificates include tuition fees and vocational training costs. Major in flight management and operations, tuition fees of 18.5 million VND/semester and pilot training costs, totaling more than 3 billion VND.
For the aviation commercial service management major, if students study for an aviation staff certificate in ground service, they will pay an additional 15 million VND/entire course; if students study for an aviation staff certificate in flight attendants, they will pay an additional 45 million VND/entire course.
Admission requirements
Vietnam Aviation Academy announced the admission requirements for the major in flight management and operations integrated with pilot training. Condition 1 is to be admitted to a regular university majoring in flight management and operations.
Condition 2 is to meet all the pilot candidate standards. Specifically: age 18-32; height for men from 1m65, for women from 1m60; weight for men from 54kg, for women from 48kg. Balanced appearance, no disabilities, good-looking. Good communication, bold, confident, fluent Vietnamese speaking and writing, no lisp or stuttering. Clear personal and family background, no criminal record. Meet health group 1/group 2 as prescribed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam. If the candidate has one of the following diseases, he/she cannot study to become a pilot: color blindness, vestibular, congenital heart disease.
Regarding the tourism and travel service management industry and the ATO flight attendant certificate, a representative of the Vietnam Aviation Academy said the program is suitable for candidates who love a dynamic environment, have a good appearance, good health and want to develop in the field of aviation-tourism-high-end services.
