On September 8, the Government Office issued Official Dispatch No. 8419/VPCP-KGVX conveying the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh regarding the organization of the Closing Ceremony of the National Achievements Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.
Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh gave the following instructions: The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, relevant ministries and agencies, according to their functions, tasks and authority, urgently carry out the tasks assigned in Official Dispatch No. 7870/VPCP-KGVX dated August 22, 2025, paying attention to closely coordinating and performing well the following tasks:
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to review and finalize the program, script, guest list, carefully prepare documents, reports, draft content of the Prime Minister's speech and related tasks and work, and report to the Prime Minister before September 10, 2025.
Preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, relevant ministries and agencies to carefully review the list and invite leaders and former leaders of the Party and State, leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, and organizations, provinces and centrally-run cities, members of the Steering Committee, the Exhibition Organizing Committee, embassies, intergovernmental organizations with representative offices in Vietnam, overseas Vietnamese, state-owned enterprises, private enterprises, relevant organizations and individuals to attend the Closing Ceremony of the Exhibition, before September 11, 2025.
Urgently complete and approve the program and detailed script for the Exhibition Closing Ceremony according to regulations.
Preside over and coordinate with ministries, agencies and localities to focus on implementing resolutely, urgently and effectively the assigned tasks and duties in the spirit of "6 clear: clear people, clear work, clear responsibility, clear authority, clear time, clear results", proactively handle assigned tasks, difficulties and problems according to authority and legal regulations, promptly report to competent authorities on arising issues beyond authority.
In addition, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh requested Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, and Vietnam News Agency to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant agencies to organize live radio and television broadcasting of the Exhibition's closing ceremony, ensuring quality and effectiveness.
Request relevant ministries, agencies, localities and units to closely coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to urgently perform assigned tasks, ensuring quality, efficiency and deadlines according to regulations.
From the first day of opening (August 28), the National Achievements Exhibition at the National Exhibition Fair Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi) until September 7, 2025, the total number of visitors reached about 6.5 million people.
The largest number of visitors to the Exhibition was on September 1st with about 1.05 million people; September 2nd had about 900,000 people and September 7th had about 1 million people. These are impressive numbers, showing the special interest of the people in this important event.
To serve the large number of people coming to visit more meaningfully, happily and safely, the Organizing Committee has coordinated with related units to perform art programs, and organize free film screenings at locations in Building A, located in the National Exhibition Center.
In addition, the Organizing Committee arranges regular staff to guide people to park their vehicles in the right places, and to guide people to visit exhibition areas, art performances, and dining places in the most convenient way.
The organizers also set up 12 information booths indoors and outdoors, and distributed free information handbooks to visitors…so that people would not get confused or lost.
The exhibition of national achievements at the National Exhibition and Fair Center will end on September 15, 2025./.
