Preparations for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2) are taking place urgently across the country. Along with the organization, the health sector is taking on the mission of protecting the health of millions of people, delegates and tourists participating in festival activities, parades and marches.

Dr. Ha Anh Duc, Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Ministry of Health, had an exchange with reporters of the Government Electronic Newspaper about the preparation and medical assurance for this important event.

Thousands of people participate in ensuring medical work

Dr. Ha Anh Duc: According to the request of the National Steering Committee on organizing events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, there are many events in the series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the country.

For the Ministry of Health, we have issued plan number 1105 and this plan has covered all areas related to health, from ensuring food safety, epidemic prevention, possible situations, including disaster-related issues.

The number of medical staff participating in ensuring medical work was also mobilized to thousands of people, hundreds of medical teams were on duty in all areas from central areas to places where the parades passed through.

In addition, inspection teams on environment, food safety, and disease prevention were also deployed to carry out their tasks before the ceremony took place.

Dr. Ha Anh Duc: We have calculated the options based on the plan approved by the Central Government. Accordingly, the parades and marches will follow the planned routes and routes.

On that basis, the Ministry of Health works closely with functional units, especially Hanoi, to grasp the number of people coming to the capital on September 2. In the central area, there are tens of thousands of people (more than 30,000 people at Ba Dinh Square) and it is expected that millions of people will be on the streets to welcome the country's important event.

Therefore, medical forces were deployed evenly from the center of Ba Dinh to the wards and communes, where people from the localities stood to cheer on the parades and marches passing by...

Ambulances cannot enter streets where parades or marches are taking place, because there are so many people that the vehicles cannot move.

Install the A80 app on your smartphone to know the location of medical on-call

Dr. Ha Anh Duc: It can be affirmed that it is impossible for ambulances to enter streets where parades and marches are taking place, because there are so many people that the vehicles cannot move.

Therefore, we have tried to arrange for mobile medical teams in medical tents on the routes to ensure that when people have simple emergency problems or need initial health care, the medical teams will be able to carry out their tasks immediately or guide the support force to take people to the nearest medical facility if the medical tents cannot handle the situation.

Dr. Ha Anh Duc: For the people, we really hope that when participating in a large-scale event like this, everyone must first be aware, have a sense of responsibility for themselves, and then have awareness towards the community.

We recommend that people install the A80 application on their smartphones to know the location of medical staff on duty.

For the elderly, those with one or more underlying diseases, people should find suitable locations to watch the parade, parade or stay home to listen to the radio, watch TV. If the weather is hot and sunny, going out and having to leave very early and return very late can affect health.

People with chronic diseases must comply with treatment, if they are taking medication, they must ensure they take the full dose. If they are healthy enough to go out, they must try to drink enough water and must have equipment to protect them from the sun and rain.

When you feel signs of declining health, ask for support from the authorities, try to proactively leave crowded places early and proactively ensure your health in all situations...

Thank you!

In Hanoi alone, the capital's health sector will mobilize 346 staff; 37 ambulances, divided into 88 emergency teams (of which 37 are ambulance teams). This number does not include those on duty at the main emergency center (Xanh Pon General Hospital, Hanoi Heart Hospital), medical facilities in the area, as well as medical forces at crowded places and for training.

Hospitals under the Hanoi Department of Health are required to increase medical examination and treatment. Each unit must have at least one mobile emergency team on standby, ready to provide emergency care and transport patients when required; and have 5-10 hospital beds ready to serve activities in case of unusual situations.

At the same time, hospitals and the Hanoi 115 Emergency Center must prepare emergency teams, each team consisting of 1 doctor, 2 nurses, 1 ambulance with full equipment, emergency medicine, and necessary equipment to participate in performing medical duties at the locations of activities as assigned.

In addition, the 115 Emergency Center must prepare ambulances and staff on duty to participate in emergency transportation when there is a situation to respond to the transport of infectious disease cases.
