Customs Region V is headquartered in Bac Ninh.

(HQ Online) - On March 17, Customs Branch Region V (Customs Department) held a conference to announce decisions on the organization and personnel work of the Branch.

Attending the Conference were Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan; Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Ngo Tan Phuong; Deputy Director of Customs Department ( Ministry of Finance ) Tran Duc Hung.

At the Conference, representatives of the Personnel Organization Board (Customs Department) announced Decision 966/QD-BTC dated March 5, 2025 of the Minister of Finance on functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of regional customs branches under the Customs Department.

After the reorganization, the Customs Department has 20 affiliated branches nationwide. Of which, the Customs Branch of Region V is headquartered in Bac Ninh, performing the function of state management of customs in the provinces: Bac Ninh, Bac Giang , Thai Nguyen, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang.

The Customs Branch of Region V has 6 departments and teams under the branch block including: Office, Personnel Organization Department, Risk Management and Information Technology Department, Customs Operations Department, Customs Control Team, Re-assembly Team and Post-clearance Inspection Team.

7 border gate/outside border gate customs units include: Bac Ninh Customs, Tien Son Customs, Yen Phong Customs, Bac Giang Customs, Thai Nguyen Customs, Bac Kan Customs, Tuyen Quang Customs.

At the Conference, Deputy Director of the Customs Department Tran Duc Hung presented the decision to transfer and appoint the Deputy Directors of the Customs Department of Region V, including: Mr. Le Viet Hung (former Deputy Director of the Bac Ninh Customs Department), Mr. Tran Viet Hung (former Deputy Director of the Legal Department, General Department of Customs), Mr. Vu Tuan Binh (former Deputy Director of the Lang Son Customs Department), Ms. Pham Thi Thu Huong (former Deputy Director of the Lao Cai Customs Department).

Previously, on March 7, 2025, at the Conference to announce the decision regulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Customs Department and its internal organizations; to announce decisions on personnel work of the Customs Department, Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel (Ministry of Finance) Pham Duc Thang presented the decision and presented flowers to congratulate the heads of departments, branch heads and equivalent positions of the Customs Department. In particular, Mr. Pham Chi Thanh, Director of the Bac Ninh Customs Department, was transferred and appointed to the position of Director of the Customs Branch of Region V.

On this occasion, the organizing committee also announced and awarded appointment decisions to leaders of departments, teams and equivalent positions of the Customs Branch of Region V.

Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Director of the Customs Department Tran Duc Hung congratulated the Customs Branch of Region V for promptly completing and stabilizing the organizational structure to join the whole Industry in operating under the new model.

In the first days of operation under the new model (from March 15, 2025), Customs Branch of Region V processed nearly 7,000 declarations, with total import-export turnover reaching more than 600 million USD.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, Deputy Director Tran Duc Hung requested the Customs Branch of Region V to continue to maintain and promote the spirit of solidarity to perform well the assigned tasks. In particular, it is necessary to ensure the facilitation of the business community in import and export activities; continue to promote reform and simplification of administrative procedures; focus on implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; perform well the task of budget collection; promote and improve the effectiveness of anti-smuggling work...
