According to Professor Dr. Nguyen Huu Tu, Principal of the school, last June, the Center for Education Quality Assessment (Hanoi National University) evaluated 9 programs, including 5 undergraduate majors (nutrition, public health, medical laboratory technology, ophthalmology, dentistry) and 4 master's majors (nutrition, preventive medicine, dentistry, medical laboratory technology).
The results showed that the rate of meeting the criteria was from 92-96%, with outstanding output quality, facilities and scientific research. After the assessment, the Accreditation Council recognized and granted the Accreditation Certificate with a validity of 5 years, from September 3, 2025 to September 3, 2030.
On August 29, the UPM Institute of Innovation under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations announced the results of the international comparison rankings. Two training programs, the medical doctor and the master of nutrition of Hanoi Medical University, were rated 5 stars according to research orientation.
Previously, in 2023, the school was also recognized by UPM as a 5-star educational institution.
UPM is currently a ranking system that compares educational quality with nearly 150 institutions and programs in 12 countries, including the US, Japan, Korea, and Singapore.

At the ceremony, Professor Tu congratulated the units whose programs were accredited and rated 5 stars. He affirmed that the school is determined to take real quality as a measure of training medical human resources, with a dynamic leadership team, a development strategy closely linked to practice, and towards international integration.
According to Professor Tu, the results of this assessment and ranking affirm the position of Hanoi Medical University in training, research and community service.
On April 3, the Prime Minister issued Decision 714/QD-TTg approving the Project "Developing Hanoi Medical University into a key national university, among the top in Asia", creating a foundation for the school to continue to develop and maintain its leading position in medical training.
