Hanoi: A wooden furniture business house caught fire at night

(Dan Tri) - The authorities of Thach That district ( Hanoi ) are urgently mobilizing forces and means to control the fire at the wooden furniture production village in Huu Bang commune of this district.


On the evening of December 12, speaking with Dan Tri reporters, the leader of the People's Committee of Thach That district (Hanoi city) said that at around 8:45 p.m. the same day, a fire suddenly broke out at a house selling wooden furniture in Huu Bang commune.

At the scene, fire and smoke billowed from the 2-story house and quickly spread to the shops and woodworking workshops next door.

"After the incident, people shouted to escape, and used on-site vehicles and water pumps to initially control the situation. The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Thach That District Police also mobilized vehicles and officers to quickly go to the scene to put out the fire and search and rescue," said the district leader.

According to this leader, the fire did not cause any human casualties, and by about 10 p.m. the same day, the fire was under control.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by authorities.
