On the evening of December 19, the Provincial Military Command organized an exchange and discussion program with the theme "Proud of tradition, continuing the feats, worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers" and awarded prizes for the Contest to learn about the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army; 35 years of National Defense Day and the Contest to learn about the 80th anniversary of the tradition of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024).

Attending the program were representatives of the leaders of Military Region 4 Command; provincial departments, agencies, unions; districts, towns, cities and award-winning collectives and individuals.

At the exchange and discussion session, delegates enjoyed a special music program, watched a film about the history of the birth, construction, fighting and growth of the Vietnam People's Army over the past 80 years; the outstanding contributions and results of the Thanh Hoa province armed forces in recent times. Along with that, they were given an overview of the policy of building a national defense for all people in our country in the current period.

In particular, the delegates had the opportunity to interact with guest speakers including Mr. Nguyen Tien Quynh, member of the Provincial Veterans Association; Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Khanh, Political Commissar of the Hoang Hoa District Military Command; Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Thai Lam, Political Commissar of Company 3, Battalion 40.

Through the stories of the guests, the historical significance of 80 years of building, fighting, winning and growing of the heroic Vietnam People's Army was clarified; the heroic fighting and sacrifice of the previous generations in the struggle to firmly protect the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland today.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Military Command for the Contest to learn about the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army; awarded the First, Second, Third and Encouragement prizes to the authors and groups of authors who won the Military Region prize; awarded the A, B and C prizes to the authors and groups of authors who won the Provincial Military Command prize in the Contest to learn about the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army; 35 years of National Defense Day and the Contest to learn about the 80th anniversary of the tradition of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024).
