Dialogue exchange "Listen to your children talk" with ethnic minority students

The Women's Union of Van Canh district (Binh Dinh province) has just organized a dialogue program "Listen to your children speak" with students of the Leaders of Change Club - Van Canh Town Secondary School - to listen to their opinions, thoughts, aspirations and wishes on issues that they are interested in.

Speaking at the Dialogue program "Listen to your children", President of the Women's Union of Van Canh district Pham Thi Thuy said that this is an activity to promote the role and participation of schools, local authorities and the Parents' and Students' Representative Board in communicating to raise awareness, connect love, gender equality, contributing to building a safe environment for children to be protected, cared for, and develop comprehensively in schools and families.

"Within the framework of Project 8 "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children" in the district, the dialogue conference hopes that students and members of the Leaders of Change Club will actively exchange and share, especially boldly ask many questions related to the implementation of Project 8, the Leaders of Change Club and the issues they are interested in at school and in their locality. Thereby, to help students gain more knowledge and skills, contributing to building a safe environment, comprehensive development in school and family", said Ms. Pham Thi Thuy.

Students share issues they care about.

At the Dialogue program, students shared their concerns, worries, and issues of concern such as child marriage, verbal violence, employment issues for young people, etc.

The program aims to contribute to building a safe environment for children to be protected, cared for, and develop comprehensively in school and family.

It is known that the Women's Union of Van Canh district has coordinated with the Department of Education and Training of the district, 03 secondary schools in the area benefiting from Project 8 to establish 03 "Leaders of Change" Clubs at 3 schools: Van Canh town secondary school, Canh Thuan boarding secondary school, Canh Lien boarding secondary school. In which, a district-level steering point for the "Leaders of Change" Club model was built at Van Canh town secondary school.
