Supervise career education and student orientation

Dien Bien TV - Implementing the thematic monitoring program "Implementation of regulations on career guidance and student orientation in general education in Dien Bien province for the period 2021 - 2025", on the morning of April 26, the Provincial People's Council's Culture - Social Affairs Committee had a working session with the Department of Education and Training. Participating in the monitoring session was comrade Lo Thi Minh Phuong, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda - Mass Mobilization Committee.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Lam, Head of the Culture - Social Committee of the Provincial People's Council spoke at the meeting.

According to the report of the Departmentof Education and Training, the whole province has 474 kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, high schools and continuing education centers with more than 7,300 classes and over 207,000 students; 100% of secondary schools and high schools have developed career guidance programs associated with production, business and service activities; 100% of secondary schools and high schools have arranged teachers to teach and provide career guidance counseling.

At the monitoring session, delegates exchanged, discussed and clarified a number of contents related to leadership, direction, results of implementation of set goals and targets; the industry's plans for implementing career education and orientation of students in general education in the next stage; communication work, funding to support counseling and career guidance activities, etc.

The Committee for Culture and Society, the Provincial People's Council requested the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with relevant units to continue reviewing and supplementing data and funding to carry out career guidance and student orientation; actively advise the province to organize the summary of the Career Guidance and Student Orientation Project in general education for the period 2018 - 2025; develop programs and plans to implement Directive No. 29 dated January 5, 2024 of the Politburo on universal education, compulsory education, adult literacy and promoting student orientation in general education.
