Reduce 5,000 VND/university admission wish in 2025, save more than 38 billion

From July 29 to 5:00 p.m. on August 5, candidates will pay the registration fee according to the number of admission wishes online according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training .

According to the Department of Higher Education , in order to continue to support, encourage and create more favorable conditions for candidates in the registration process, and at the same time demonstrate the spirit of accompanying learners, the units participating in the implementation of technical infrastructure services and electronic payments propose that the registration fee for each registration request for admission in 2025 is 15,000 VND.

Thus, this level is reduced by VND5,000, equivalent to 25% compared to the original plan. With a total of more than 7.6 million registered wishes this year, the estimated reduction is more than VND38 billion.

2025 is the first year that candidates graduate from high school under the new general education program, and it is also the first time that registration for university and college admissions is carried out synchronously on the General Admission System of the Ministry of Education and Training.

This system has been built and gradually improved over the years, and has now achieved high stability, fully meeting technical and professional requirements, ensuring a convenient, unified, transparent and effective recruitment process.

Coordination between units participating in the System has also been standardized and operated smoothly, creating maximum convenience for candidates and training facilities.

Quick statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training show that as of 5:00 p.m. today (July 30), the number of candidates registering for admission was nearly 850,000 out of more than 1.1 million candidates taking the high school graduation exam.

The number of applications for university and college admission in 2025 is 7,615,560 (reaching a rate of more than 73%). On average, each candidate chooses 8.96 applications.

Compared to last year, the number of candidates registering for admission in 2025 increased by 115,892 (due to candidates registering for admission to vocational colleges).
