Similarly, WTI oil price was at 64.77 USD/barrel, up 1.91% (equivalent to an increase of 1.21 USD/barrel).

At the end of the trading session on June 7, Brent oil price was at 66.65 USD/barrel, up 1.73% (equivalent to an increase of 1.13 USD/barrel). Meanwhile, WTI oil price was at 64.77 USD/barrel, up 1.91% (equivalent to an increase of 1.21 USD/barrel).
For the week, both types of oil recorded increases, in which Brent oil price increased by 2.75%, while WTI oil increased by 4.9%.
Oil prices rose mainly due to a positive US jobs report and the resumption of trade negotiations between the US and China, which raised expectations of a recovery in the world's two largest economies.
In its latest report, HSBC forecasts that the crude oil market could remain balanced in the second and third quarters of 2025 thanks to peak summer oil demand in July and August. However, the possibility of OPEC+ continuing to increase production afterwards could push the market into a more pronounced oversupply situation in the fourth quarter of 2025 than previously forecast.
The number of US oil and gas rigs fell by four to 559 this week, the lowest since November 2021.

Domestic retail gasoline prices on June 8, 2025 will be applied according to the adjustment session from 3:00 p.m. on June 5 by the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Diesel 0.05S price: Increased by 284 VND/liter, at 17,420 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 176 VND/liter, at 17,284 VND/liter; fuel oil 180CST 3.5S decreased by 86 VND/kg, down to 16,178 VND/kg.

In this management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, and mazut oil.
Thus, from the beginning of 2025 to now, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 23 adjustment sessions, including 9 decrease sessions, 9 increase sessions and 5 opposite sessions.
