Durian price today August 5: Remaining high, Musang King slightly decreased

Durian prices today, August 5, 2025 in the Southeast and Central Highlands remain high, supply decreases at the end of the season. Durian exports reach over 1 billion USD.

Domestic durian price

Durian prices in the Southeast and Central Highlands remain high due to reduced supply at the end of the season. Thai durian: Type A 73,000 - 82,000 VND/kg, type B 53,000 - 62,000 VND/kg, type C 40,000 - 45,000 VND/kg. VIP goods in Dak Lak reach 85,000 - 90,000 VND/kg.

Ri6 durian: Type A 40,000 - 45,000 VND/kg, type B 25,000 - 32,000 VND/kg, type C negotiable.

Musang King durian: Grade A 55,000 - 63,000 VND/kg, slightly reduced due to water and salt in the Central Highlands. Only high quality products with yellow segments and firm flesh are purchased.

Export market

Vietnam’s durian exports are expected to exceed $1 billion by July 2025, thanks to the advantage of fast shipping to China and supply constraints from Thailand. Durian meets strict food safety standards, with growing areas assigned codes. The market expects prices to remain stable, with a slight increase if quality improves.

New export regulations

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment issued Decision No. 3015/QD-BNNMT on "Food safety control process for fresh durian for export". Durian must be produced and harvested from a coded growing area, preserved, packaged according to standards and labeled according to import market requirements.
