Meet the late Meritorious Artist Thuy Lan in "Time Stream"

A series of outstanding works about homeland and country by authors Do Nhuan, Trinh Cong Son, Luu Cau, Nguyen Thi Nhung, Pham Minh Tuan, Tran Long An, Tran Le Giang, Tran Manh Hung, Ta Quang Thang, Xuan Nghia and Marc Lavoine will be performed by famous artists such as: Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi, Le Xuan Hao, Ngoc Khue, Thu Thuy, singer-songwriter Ta Quang Thang, choreographers Mai Linh, Hai Trong, the Time Stream orchestra and pianist Bui Dang Khanh, cellist Bui Ha Mien, violinist Tran Quang Duy, saxophone Le Duy Manh...

Taking on the role of music director is Colonel, musician Ho Trong Tuan - Principal of the Military University of Culture and Arts.

“The Stream of Time - Songs that go with the years” with the theme “Love of Country” will be works expressing love for the homeland, a sacred and noble feeling for every patriotic heart. Whether in peacetime or wartime, that love still retains its value and does not change, growing day by day in the subconscious, thoughts and soul, then turning into a great source of motivation to help each of us strive and contribute to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland”. Those are the words shared by the program’s music director, Colonel, musician Ho Trong Tuan.

Director Ngo Thanh revealed: “The highlight of the program “Timeline - Songs that go with the years” No. 2 with the theme “Country of Love” is the exchange with the author of the theme song - “Country of Love” - female musician Tran Le Giang currently living in Edinburgh (Scotland) on Hanoi Radio and Television. It is also the first time that a very special version of the song “Country of Love” was performed through a “dialogue” between the late Meritorious Artist Thuy Lan and her daughter, artist Dinh Lan Huong - Deputy Head of the Vocal Music Department of Hanoi College of Arts. Based on the vocals extracted from the first recording of Voice of Vietnam Radio 44 years ago through the duet of two singers, two mothers and daughters, two generations of artists... In addition, the Serenade “Afternoon in the homeland” composed by musician Nguyen Thi Nhung for the violin will be performed by pianists Bui Dang Khanh, cellist Bui Ha Mien and violinist Tran Quang Duy.
