Cloud disk covers famous high mountain peak in Southeast

Dong Nai – A rare phenomenon when a giant cloud disk covered the top of Chua Chan mountain, Xuan Loc district on the morning of October 31.

Photo: Nhat Hien At around 6am on October 31, a disk-shaped cloud gradually formed on the top of Chua Chan Mountain and grew larger and larger. After about an hour, the giant cloud disk covered the entire top of Chua Chan Mountain, making many people excited to take pictures and share. According to local people, the top of Chua Chan Mountain still occasionally has cloud disks, but they are smaller in size and not as clear and beautiful as they are now. A representative of the Dong Nai Province Hydrometeorological Station said that on days when there is a lot of moisture in the air and the weather improves, large clouds form. Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Huy - Director of the Dong Nai Province Hydrometeorological Station added that this is a rare phenomenon, appearing only 1-2 days a year and not every year. Chua Chan Mountain (also known as Gia Lao Mountain, in Xuan Loc District, Dong Nai Province) is 837m above sea level and about 100km from Ho Chi Minh City. This is considered the "roof" of Dong Nai province and is the second highest mountain in the Southeast (after Ba Den mountain, Tay Ninh province). In 2012, Chua Chan mountain was ranked as a national scenic relic.
