This afternoon, September 11, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri Province Vo Van Hung; Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri Province Ha Sy Dong chaired a working session with Vietnam Zero Waste Company Limited on the proposal of a project to produce saturated steam from agricultural by-products (biomass fuel) to provide energy for Hiep Phu Joint Stock Company - VICO.

At the meeting, based on existing experience and capacity, the representative of Vietnam Zero Waste Company Limited proposed to implement the project of a factory producing saturated steam from agricultural by-products (biomass fuel) to provide energy for Hiep Phu Joint Stock Company - VICO to provide stable steam for the production stages of the calcium silicate sheet factory, contributing to reducing environmental emissions, aiming at the goal of sustainable development. The project is located in Tra Tri village, Hai Hung commune, Hai Lang district. The project has a total investment of 23 billion VND; the total construction land area is 1 ha, with a capacity of 8,064 m3 of steam/year.

If the investment policy is approved, the enterprise commits to ensure financial capacity and deposit for construction investment in accordance with regulations; complete workshop 1 and put it into use within 5 months and complete the entire project and put it into use after 12 months from the date of permission to start construction. At the same time, it will establish an enterprise in Quang Tri province to fully fulfill tax obligations and create regular jobs for local workers.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong agreed in principle to allow Vietnam Zero Waste Company Limited to research, survey, and prepare a proposal for a project of a saturated steam production plant from agricultural by-products (biomass fuel) to supply to Hiep Phu - VICO Joint Stock Company. At the same time, the enterprise was required to urgently complete the investment proposal dossier to send to the Department of Planning and Investment for appraisal and submit to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision.

Regarding the proposed project location, it is recommended that relevant departments, branches and localities continue to research and provide specific guidance to investors, ensuring that the construction location is consistent with regional and provincial planning, avoiding overlap and wasting land resources. At the same time, based on their functions and tasks, they will guide and support businesses in implementing the steps of preparing documents according to regulations.
