At exactly 8 o'clock, candidates began taking the exam. Before that, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training reminded the exam supervisors that after receiving the exam paper, each candidate must check the condition of their exam paper. If the paper shows signs of fading, tearing, missing pages... they must report to the exam supervisor for handling within 5 minutes. On the first day of the exam, there was 1 candidate in the city who violated the exam regulations, bringing a cell phone into the exam room and was fined and suspended from the exam. There were 12 candidates who needed assistance during the exam due to health problems.

According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, immediately after the exam ends, Hanoi will begin grading the exams, ensuring timely progress to announce the scores between July 4-6.
The new point this year is that the exam scores and benchmark scores are announced at the same time, which is beneficial for candidates but puts a lot of pressure on the Examination Board as well as the benchmark scores for high schools.
