In order to carry out the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", the Department of Industry and Trade has coordinated with departments, branches, sectors, units and localities to deploy many practical and effective activities.
Through trade promotion activities and fair organization, the Department of Industry and Trade has played a good role in connecting and promoting products for businesses, production and business households to expand the consumption market, bringing high-quality Vietnamese goods to consumers in the province.
In particular, implementing the domestic market development project associated with the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" in the period of 2021-2025, focusing on organizing market development activities called "Proud of Vietnamese goods", "Quintessence of Vietnamese goods", the Department of Industry and Trade has supported and invested in many convenience stores selling Vietnamese goods.
Deputy Director of the Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion Le Mau Khanh said: "Trade promotion activities are now being strongly transformed with flexible and modern methods, applying multi-channel trade promotion, integrating digital technology .
In addition to supporting businesses in participating in fairs, exhibitions, and organizing product introduction weeks in major cities in the country, the center also supports businesses in building brands, designing packaging, and learning how to tell product stories - key factors to access international markets.
A clear demonstration of the comprehensive trade promotion innovation strategy of the Industry and Trade sector is that every year, the department organizes trade promotion delegations, connecting supply and demand in provinces and cities in the country, while promoting promotion through digital platforms and e-commerce.
Cooperating with major e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Tiki, Lazada has helped the province's typical products "hit the shelves" nationwide, reaching consumers faster. Familiar typical products such as Bao Ninh fish sauce, Hai Ninh dried sweet potatoes, turmeric starch, lingzhi mushrooms... have gradually affirmed their brands with consumers.
Not only stopping at the product consumption stage, businesses and cooperatives in the province are also supported with quality certification, traceability, meeting international standards HACCP, VietGAP, ISO to increase competitiveness and initially access markets of countries such as: Korea, Japan, China, Laos, Thailand...
Thai Hau Supermarket, Ba Don Ward has been operating in the commercial sector for more than 15 years, currently trading in over 10,000 products, of which 90% are manufactured in Vietnam.
According to Mr. Ho Van Son, Director of Thai Hau Supermarket, nowadays, instead of buying products of unknown origin that are widely sold in markets, many consumers have chosen supermarkets and reputable stores to buy good products, ensuring quality for their families. At Co.opmart Dong Hoi Supermarket, recently, the number of customers coming to shop has also increased and they mainly choose products produced by Vietnamese enterprises.
Through a survey of the domestic market at markets, supermarkets, department stores, and wholesale enterprises in the province, it shows that the proportion of people consuming Vietnamese goods is increasingly dominant.
Domestically produced goods have affirmed their position in the domestic market, such as fresh food, food products, processed food, construction materials, interior decoration, textile products, etc. The above figures show that consumers in the province have gradually changed their consumption habits of domestically produced goods instead of using foreign goods as before.
Speaking to reporters, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Phan Hoai Nam emphasized: “Vietnam is integrating with the trend of economic globalization every day. Therefore, the fact that each citizen prioritizes using good goods and services provided by domestic manufacturers is a demonstration of the pride and responsibility of the Vietnamese people towards their homeland. A rich people makes a strong country, if domestic manufacturers develop, the country will become more and more sustainable. Let each of us be patriotic consumers when choosing high-quality Vietnamese products for our lives.”
