On June 28, at Vinh Long University of Technical Education, the Regional Political Academy IV coordinated with universities in the Southwest region to award prizes for the political essay contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation (5th time, 2025) in universities and the discussion "Students of the Mekong Delta with the era of national rise".

The Organizing Committee said that the political essay contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation (5th time, 2025) had the participation and response of a large number of cadres, lecturers, especially students and trainees of universities in the Southwest region with 1,340 entries from 4 units.
According to the organizers, many entries have good themes, are well-researched, and have solid arguments. The genres of entries are more diverse than in previous years. In addition to familiar formats, there are also documentary and video clip genres.
At the end of the contest, the organizing committee agreed to award 4 first prizes, 7 second prizes, 10 third prizes and 11 consolation prizes to staff and students of the schools, and selected outstanding works to submit to the higher level contest.

At the seminar "Students of the Mekong Delta with the era of national rise", leaders, staff, lecturers and students of Vinh Long University of Technical Education, Can Tho University and Dong Thap University shared the contents about the Mekong Delta in the era of national rise, the position and role of students in the new era. The delegates discussed and clarified the issues raised for students of the Mekong Delta to be steadfast in the era of national rise such as nurturing ideals, political mettle, integration ability, start-up ability, application of science and technology, etc.
