Promote cashless payment of hospital and tuition fees

DNO - That was the direction of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Quang Buu at the working session with the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 9, and departments, branches, and localities on coordinating the implementation of solutions to promote cashless payments on the afternoon of September 11.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Quang Buu requested the State Bank of Region 9 to step up information, communication and propaganda work on contents related to cashless payments.

At the same time, direct commercial banks and credit institutions in the city to develop and implement support and incentive policies such as free card opening, management fees, transaction fees, etc., especially for people in remote areas.

Support and install POS machines, QR codes; arrange staff to support people in opening accounts, installing mobile banking applications, e-wallets, making cashless payments at 100% of public administrative service centers and public service centers at all levels; hospitals, schools, shopping centers, markets, pension payment points, social insurance benefits, etc.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Quang Buu assigned the Department of Health to direct and request medical examination and treatment facilities in the city to promote the implementation of cashless payments for medical examination and treatment expenses, especially opening accounts, depositing money into accounts...; assign staff to coordinate with bank officers and employees to be on duty at 100% of medical examination and hospital fee payment areas to mobilize and guide people to make cashless payments.

“It is necessary to coordinate the implementation of solutions to promote payment and non-cash payment, especially in pension payment, hospital fees, tuition fees, and public services. Any hospital, school, etc. with a low rate of non-cash payment should be specifically counted and appropriate solutions should be found,” Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Ho Quang Buu emphasized.
