Within the framework of activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Hungary, on June 27-28, in District 3, Budapest, the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary in coordination with the District 3 authorities solemnly organized the Vietnam Cultural Day, screening films about the 75th anniversary of Vietnam-Hungary relations, and exhibitions of paintings and photos, introducing the country and people of Vietnam and its outstanding achievements after 40 years of Doi Moi.
Attending the event were Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Bui Le Thai, District Chief of District 3, associations, cultural organizations, the Vietnamese community in Budapest and a large number of Hungarian people.
In his opening speech, Ambassador Bui Le Thai emphasized: "In the context of the two countries celebrating the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations, the Vietnam Cultural Day in District 3 is not only an occasion to honor the cultural identity of the Vietnamese people, but also contributes to enriching the cultural life in Budapest, is a bridge of cultural exchange, contributing to strengthening friendship, mutual understanding and solidarity between the people of Vietnam and Hungary."
Ambassador Bui Le Thai expressed his gratitude for the active cooperation of the District 3 government, and affirmed that the Vietnamese community in Hungary will continue to promote its role as a bridge of friendship, actively contributing to the development of Hungary as well as to the Vietnam-Hungary Comprehensive Partnership.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Kiss Laszlo, District Chief of District 3, highly appreciated the initiative to organize Vietnamese Cultural Day in District 3, affirming that the leaders of District 3 government fully support and are ready to accompany the Embassy in organizing cultural exchange activities of the Vietnamese community in District 3, thereby contributing to enriching local cultural life, enhancing people-to-people exchange and further tightening the friendly relations between the two countries.
Accordingly, District Chief Kiss Laszlo proposed to further deepen the twinning relationship between District 3 and Son Tay Town of Vietnam.
District Chief Kiss Laszlo affirmed that he will continue to create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to integrate more deeply and contribute to the development of District 3.
The highlight of the event is the Exhibition of paintings, photos, and a video clip presentation about the 75-year historical journey of relations between Vietnam and Hungary with many vivid images of visits by leaders of the two countries, about the country and people of Vietnam, unique cultural heritages and especially the outstanding achievements after more than 40 years of Vietnam's Renovation.
The exhibition helps Hungarian friends better understand the history of relations between the two countries as well as a peaceful, innovative, dynamically developing Vietnam that is increasingly integrating deeply with the world .
In addition, the booth introducing Vietnam's agricultural export products such as cashew nuts, pepper, coffee, tea, traditional spices... attracted great attention from visitors. Vietnam's high-quality agricultural products are increasingly affirming their position in the Hungarian and European markets.
Vietnamese culinary space with unique traditional dishes, along with folk art performances, has brought unique cultural experiences, contributing to widely promoting the image of the country, people and cuisine of Vietnam to Hungarian friends.
The event ended in a spirit of solidarity, friendship and emotion, expressing a clear message: culture is not only an identity but also a connecting power, a sustainable foundation for the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Hungary to continue to develop strongly in the future.
