Ensuring traffic on Phong Chau pontoon bridge on New Year's Eve 2025

From 9:00 p.m. on January 28, 2025 (ie December 29, the year of the Dragon) to 5:00 a.m. on January 29, 2025 (ie the first day of the Lunar New Year, the year of the Snake), Phong Chau pontoon bridge will continue to ensure traffic for people and vehicles passing through the bridge to organize spring activities and celebrate Tet on New Year's Eve.

The Engineering Corps has just issued document No. 279/BCCB-TM announcing the traffic safety of Phong Chau pontoon bridge on New Year's Eve.

Accordingly, in order to facilitate and serve the people's travel across the Phong Chau pontoon bridge (between Tam Nong and Lam Thao districts) to welcome the new year safely, economically and conveniently, the Engineering Corps announced the traffic organization plan on New Year's Eve.

Specifically, from 9:00 p.m. on January 28, 2025 (ie December 29, Giap Thin year) to 5:00 a.m. on January 29, 2025 (ie January 1, At Ty year), Phong Chau pontoon bridge will continue to ensure traffic for road vehicles. People and vehicles can travel across the bridge to organize spring activities and celebrate Tet on New Year's Eve.

During this time, inland waterway vehicles will be temporarily not allowed to pass through Phong Chau pontoon bridge to ensure traffic safety and operation of the pontoon bridge.

On other days, the bridge operates from 6am to 10pm daily according to Regulation No. 7604/QC-CB-DTND-GTVT-CA-QS-TN-LT dated September 28, 2024.
