During the summer days of July, the atmosphere at many village and commune cultural houses in the province becomes vibrant with summer activities for children and youth. Various programs for entertainment, skill training, and talent development are organized.
Group 11B, Duc Xuan Ward receives nearly 200 children to live in the residential area. In each activity session, the children enthusiastically participate in many activities such as: Folk dancing, dancing, singing, group games... under the guidance of the teachers. "My friends and I are very excited and look forward to the summer activities. Each session has new content, both fun and useful", Trieu Thi Khanh Ngan shared.
Not only in Duc Xuan ward, many communes and wards in the province are maintaining regular summer activities. In addition to cultural and sports activities, many places also effectively integrate life skills education , knowledge about history, homeland culture, law, etc.
Ms. Lam Thu Trang, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the Na Ri Commune Youth Union, said: The Youth Union coordinates with villages and residential groups to create the best conditions in terms of facilities for children to participate in activities. In particular, for propaganda content, the Commune Youth Union organizes topics in the form of competitions so that children can easily receive and remember them for a long time.

In the summer of 2025, Thai Nguyen province welcomed more than 216,000 teenagers and children to participate in summer activities in residential areas. According to Thai Nguyen Provincial Youth Union, from the beginning of summer, Youth Union, Association, and Pioneer chapters in the province have deployed summer activities according to the motto "Practical, effective, and safe".
In addition to cultural activities, sports, folk games, life skills education, self-protection skills, social skills, summer talent classes are focused on.
Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hien, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, said: We encourage facilities to innovate the content and form of summer activities to suit the conditions of each locality; mobilize the participation of the government and families in managing and educating students during the summer. Participating in summer activities not only helps young people have a fun and exciting summer vacation but also brings many positive values to their comprehensive development.
For example, through physical activities and sports and arts, children not only get physical training, improve their endurance and flexibility, but also have the opportunity to express their talents and passions. Through this, parents can better understand their children's interests, have appropriate orientation and investment for their long-term development.
"My son loves sports. He is learning both badminton and soccer. I always support him and am willing to register him for courses to develop his passion," said Sam Thi Hoa, Na Ri commune.
Vu Thao Duong, from Bac Kan Ward, said: Although I am afraid of water, learning to swim is necessary to avoid drowning, so I asked my mother to sign me up for a swimming class. The teacher gave me enthusiastic instructions, so after only 1 week I learned the basic movements.
Life skills classes have helped children practice communication skills, reflexes, creative thinking and develop important soft skills in learning and life. In particular, summer activities in residential areas create a healthy living environment, helping children stay away from electronic devices, reducing the risk of accidents and injuries during the summer.
Ms. Luc Thi Sim, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the Youth Union of Kunming Commune, said: The Youth Union of the commune informs the activity schedule to the villages to disseminate to the people. Thereby, parents have a way to manage and pick up their children for activities on time, avoiding children going to dangerous places with potential risks of accidents.
With the close direction of Thai Nguyen Provincial Youth Union and the active participation of all levels, sectors and localities, the summer activities in 2025 have been and are promoting practical effectiveness. Summer playgrounds have brought many meaningful experiences to young people, contributing to training skills, nurturing personality and creating a solid foundation for the future generations of the homeland.
