Implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in Thang Son Commune, over the years, the Commune Party Committee has always taken the motto "New Rural Construction has a starting point but no end point" and determined it as one of the important goals in leadership and direction. Therefore, the program is implemented in a synchronous, comprehensive and systematic manner.
Over the period of implementing the program in the commune, remarkable results have been achieved. The socio-economic infrastructure has changed, and people's lives have been increasingly improved. Up to now, the commune has completed 19/19 criteria, achieved 57/57 targets, and achieved 100% of the set target. Comrade Nguyen Van Thinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Thang Son commune, said: Under the leadership of the Party Committee and the management of the local government, the commune's economy has remained stable and has grown quite well, and the material and spiritual life of the people has gradually improved. Many production development models have been replicated, contributing to changing the face of the countryside and increasing people's income.
Thang Son Commune encourages people to promote local strengths in agricultural production such as: Black Crow Sticky Rice, tea, grapefruit... contributing to poverty reduction and building new rural areas.
To demonstrate the work of building a new rural area and improving people's lives, comrade Chu Quoc Viet, a commune official, took us to visit the livestock model of Mr. and Mrs. Tinh Nguyen's family in Da Bia area. With a small and agile figure, Ms. Tinh fed the chickens and shared: With the encouragement and support of organizations, I boldly borrowed 500 million VND from the bank plus 50 million VND in loan capital from the district's Social Policy Bank. In 2019, my family started investing in raising Mia chickens (a breed of chicken in Hoa Binh ), initially only about 2,000 chickens/batch, now the number of chickens has increased to over 7,000 chickens, each year selling about 20,000 chickens to the market with an average weight of 2.2-2.5kg/chicken. In addition to raising chickens, Ms. Tinh also raises over 100 pigs. Revenue is 2.8 billion VND/year, profit is 10% depending on the time.
In the period of 2012-2024, the total mobilized resources to implement the National Target Program on New Rural Construction reached over 62 billion VND, of which the State budget capital was over 23 billion VND, capital mobilized from banks and other sources was nearly 40 billion VND. In addition, the program also received the response and consensus of the people in the movement of donating land for road construction of over 11,000m2 . In 2024, the poverty rate in the commune will be 11.33%, down from previous years, with average income per capita reaching 51 million VND/person/year.
In the construction of the new rural area, the commune has identified agriculture as the main production direction for economic development, increasing income for the people. The Party Committee and the commune government have focused on leadership, close direction, propaganda, and mobilization of the people to take advantage of land area, expand production, implement restructuring of crops and livestock, apply scientific and technical advances, develop production towards commodities, and gradually increase food output over the years. Small-scale industry and services in the new rural area have gradually developed household economy, collective economy linked in production has gradually been effectively implemented, contributing significantly to improving the income of people in the commune. Small-scale industry and handicrafts have developed such as: wood peeling, sawing, car repair, mechanics, milling...
To achieve the criteria of increasing income for people, the commune government has created conditions for people to access preferential loans for agricultural production and small-scale industry in developing the family economy; encouraged people to promote local strengths in agricultural production such as: Black Crow Sticky Rice, tea trees, grapefruit trees, investing in developing livestock, poultry and aquaculture; guided people to strictly follow technical measures, care, especially in choosing breeds, food sources, disease prevention and treatment and keeping the livestock environment clean.
In addition to raising chickens, Mr. and Mrs. Tinh Nguyen's family in Da Bia area also raise over 100 pigs, with a revenue of 2.8 billion VND/year, a profit of 10% depending on the time.
Currently, in the commune, there are 2 companies and enterprises operating effectively, namely Tan Phong Market Industrial Joint Stock Company and Tu Luc Petroleum Company, and the commune is continuing to build an industrial cluster. The companies have created jobs and increased income for local workers. The whole commune has 8/8 residential areas with cultural houses, with 917 households achieving the title of cultural family. The cultural houses are built spaciously, ensuring adequate equipment to serve the needs of the people.
With the consensus and participation of the entire political system, it is hoped that Thang Son will focus all resources and promote the spirit of solidarity to soon succeed in building the new rural area as set out in the goal.
Mr. Tu
