“Closing the deal!” debuts to the audience with the first AI technology in a Vietnamese film

For the first time, a film uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology to perfect the face of the main character in the film. That is "Closing the order!" by the director duo Bao Nhan - Namcito.

The movie “Closing the deal!” is one of the most special and challenging projects of 2025. The official premiere of the film with the press received special attention not only because of its artistic quality but also because of its technological mark: for the first time in Vietnam, a film applied AI in post-production to perfect the main character.

Taking the theme of family love, “Closing the deal!” depicts the lives of many generations struggling to make a living in the context of a modern society full of changes due to technology and new careers. The film is a touching journey about failure, redemption, and kindness – seemingly small things that keep people standing firm in an era where true values are easily lost.

The film raises a big question: Between the whirlwind of fame and the virtual world , what will remain in the end – if not family, friendship and real connections between people?

The film was directed by the duo Bao Nhan - Namcito, with the participation of many famous artists such as People's Artist Hong Van, artists Quyen Linh, Hong Dao...

The film had problems with the main character's actor, so the crew decided to apply AI technology in post-production to perfect the main character's performance - a bold decision, but at the same time showing the filmmaker's effort and seriousness in preserving the emotional flow and artistic quality of the work.

Mr. Hang Minh Loi, founder of Lumination - the technology support unit for the project - said: "This is a pioneering step, opening up new directions for applying technology to Vietnamese cinema".

Director duo Bao Nhan – Namcito emotionally shared about the journey of making the film: “Like the characters in the film, our crew also had to overcome many difficulties to maintain optimism and creativity. AI is not a temporary solution, but a serious investment decision to preserve the emotions of the work.”

The film is produced by Galaxy Studio, HKFilm and MAR6 Studios, distributed by Galaxy Studio, and will be shown nationwide from August 8, with early screenings from 6pm on August 7, classified as T16.
