On December 22, at a press conference, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said that the anti-drug agencies of China and the United States are resuming regular contact. According to the spokesman, the process of resuming cooperation in this field between the two countries is not easy and needs to be paid more attention by both sides.
According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, implementing anti-drug cooperation is one of the important common understandings reached between the two countries' leaders during the meeting in San Francisco.
Previously, during a meeting in San Francisco (USA), Chinese President Xi Jinping and host country President Joe Biden agreed to establish a working group on anti-drug cooperation.
Mr. Uong Van Ban also said that the US has lifted sanctions related to Chinese law enforcement agencies to make cooperation more effective.
According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, China has recently carried out campaigns against fentanyl and its precursors, as well as cracked down on illegal activities and crimes related to smuggling, illegal production and abuse of fentanyl-related substances.
According to the official, Beijing has also launched extensive inspections of key enterprises, personnel and equipment, as well as made efforts to clarify information about online fentanyl sales, thereby strictly preventing the smuggling of related chemicals to protect the physical and mental health of the people.
