Revolutionary journalism - a century accompanying the glorious cause of the Party and the nation

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On June 21, 1925, in Guangzhou (China), the Thanh Nien newspaper founded by Nguyen Ai Quoc published its first issue, marking the birth of the Vietnamese revolutionary press. Over the past 100 years, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has continuously grown and developed brilliantly, making great and important contributions to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

Loyal to the original purpose and motto: Serving the Fatherland, serving the People, under the leadership of our Party, the revolutionary press has become a sharp weapon, "supporting the righteous, eliminating evil", pioneering on the ideological and cultural front. Each article, each newspaper has become a "revolutionary proclamation" to awaken the masses, light up their faith, call, mobilize, gather, and encourage the People to rise up and fight to smash the domination of colonialism, feudalism, and imperialism, to gain independence, freedom, peace for the nation, and unify the country.

During those fiery revolutionary years, a team of journalist soldiers, both holding pens and guns, full of enthusiasm and courage, rushed to the front lines to write articles and record moving images, calling on people to sacrifice themselves for independence, freedom and national unity. Their blood has colored the glorious tradition of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism.

Joining the flow of innovation and international integration today, the Vietnamese press continues to effectively promote its role as a bridge between the Party, the State and the People, contributing to building a democratic, fair and civilized society. The press not only pioneers in fighting against bad and toxic information, hostile and false arguments, firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation, but also performs well the function of criticism and supervision, contributing to building the Party and the political system to be increasingly clean, strong, effective and efficient. The press has clearly demonstrated its role in leading and orienting public opinion, building social consensus, arousing the spirit of innovation, the desire to contribute and develop in all classes of people, with our Party confidently entering a new era - the era of national development.

On the journey of the past 100 years, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has developed brilliantly, gloriously and proudly. On the threshold of entering a new era, those achievements and glorious traditions will be the fulcrum, the solid foundation, the valuable baggage for press agencies and journalists to seize opportunities and challenges, constantly strive, continue to build, consolidate and elevate a generation of journalists with "sharp pen - pure heart - bright mind", mastering modern media technology, to add more brilliant milestones to the Vietnamese revolutionary press, loyal, devoted, accompanying the revolutionary cause of the Party, imbued with the spirit of serving the Fatherland and serving the People.
