The silk collection Awakening the quintessence, extending the heritage has just been launched at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, inspired by 9 national treasures currently preserved here, including: a set of dragon-carved doors (Keo Pagoda), a statue of Queen Trinh Thi Ngoc Truc (Mat Pagoda), a statue of Bodhisattva Quan Am (Hoi Ha Pagoda) and lacquer works: Screen (Nguyen Gia Tri), Two young women and a baby (To Ngoc Van), Uncle Ho in the Viet Bac resistance base (Duong Bich Lien), Joining the Party in Dien Bien Phu (Nguyen Sang), Giong (Nguyen Tu Nghiem), Em Thuy (Tran Van Can).

9 designs with names respectively: Twin dragons worshiping the sun, Peace, Light, Butterfly, Night Garden, Youth, Sunshine, Solidarity, Legend, Pure, Angel.

“Each piece in the collection is a tribute to the nation’s priceless artistic masterpieces,” said art director Minh Pham. “We transform the spirit of national treasures into contemporary designs on silk, creating a strong connection between past art and modern visual language.”

Director of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum Nguyen Anh Minh affirmed that combining national treasures with applied design brings new artistic values, bringing cultural heritages closer to the public. This is also the goal of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in promoting, introducing, and spreading the value of national treasures and Vietnamese fine arts.
