3 military generals were awarded the First Class Military Exploit Medal

On the afternoon of August 31, in Hanoi, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense held a ceremony to award Military Exploit Medals to leaders of the Ministry of National Defense. Accordingly, 8 leaders were awarded the First Class Military Exploit Medal, and 3 leaders were awarded the Second Class Military Exploit Medal.

The First Class Military Exploit Order was awarded to General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense ; General Trinh Van Quyet, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Deputy Ministers of National Defense: General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong; Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien; Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh; Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San; Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam.

Three Deputy Ministers of National Defense were awarded the Second Class Military Exploit Order, including: Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang, and Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hien.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Phan Van Giang said that over the past time, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense have led and directed the entire army to promote patriotism, revolutionary traditions and the noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", upholding the spirit of initiative and creativity to overcome difficulties, regardless of hardships and dangers, completing all tasks well, many tasks were completed excellently and especially excellently.

"The recent success is the result of the efforts and intelligence of the entire army's officers and soldiers, especially the contingent of generals, leaders and commanders of agencies and units. In particular, the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense are always the "key" core in carrying out the tasks entrusted to the Army by the Party, State and people," the Minister of National Defense affirmed.

According to General Phan Van Giang, the results achieved by the Ministry of National Defense's leaders in their work today are still modest.
